Corporate people stain the true meaning of life, to consume progression in the human evolution and full potential, we take our stuff we own for granted and feel it gives us a sense of achievement but all it does is make us crave for more its like a drug or any consuming alcohol. To really appreciate freedom we need cut the head that feeds this corporate world, but we only will succeed if humanity is willing to commit.
I had Freeway, Kaboom, Starmaster, and Grand Prix for my Atari and Pitfall II and H.E.R.O. for my Commodore 64. I also have Activision Anthology. Activision made leaps and bounds in the video game industry by becoming one of the first third party developers for a home game system, and giving proper credit to their designers, a formality that continues today in advanced forms.
@MannyPearce I hope you're being sarcastic. Activision was wonderful in the Atari 2600 era. Even unimaginative imitations like "Freeway" were quite good.
Steal the idea for Frogger and replace it with a chicken and you've got a completely new game! I see Activation's method of innovation hasn't changed much over the years...
@Antithos I don't think Crane did steal the idea. Rather, whoever made Frogger and Crane himself had the same idea at around the same time (it happens). In fact, Freeway was supposed to be Bloody Human Freeway, with a guy getting splattered along the freeway in gory (as far as the 2600 was concerned) detail. Frogger, however, is the better game, I must admit that.
@Antithos To be fair, a lot of home video games were rip-offs of arcade games back in the day. Tons of Pac-Man, Frogger, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, and Q*Bert clones. A truly original game back then was a diamond in the rough, much like today.
this is when Activision was actually pulling the industry forward, not holding it back like Kotick is today. Shit was real when these guys ran the show.

Activision used to be SO AWESOME. Now they're publishing ridiculous games like Call of Duty.

The best part is within 6 months Atari had nearly killed gaming with E.T. But the video is so optimistic, they had no idea what was about to happen.

I remember beating a Activision game with a high score, taking a picture of it and mailing it to Activision. And they mail you a patch.
