it's not dangerous as long as you can actually follow instructions. It's surprising how many people don't and brick their psps... You can even recover a bricked psp, btw. You just need a spare battery and memstick and some ingenuity (see pandora's battery)... But yeah, be 100% sure that you need a modded firmware to run psplink and remotejoy. It also crashes when going to the load/save screens or back to xmb, so it can be annoying. It's cool, but it takes some effort.
most likely animekid201 is right that your computer sucks.... but you might also want to make sure you're using a usb 2.0 cable and not and older usb 1.0, which has a slower throughput. Might cause that...
I'm doing exactly what you're doing and still nothing. I have the drivers installed and everything. My psp is a 3.30 OE-A'. Is DJ Max Portable 2 the actual UMD or and ISO? I have the ISO of it.
How did you get games to run? I enabled the prx through recovery but when I do,PSPlink gives me a module error...if I don't enable them I can get onto my XMB but I can get any programs to run.
For the games, enable the PRX and then ignore PSPlink, the PRX load it when you run the game. Once the game is loaded, click the three bat files (or press the buttons on the GUI if you have it) and once you are face with the black screen, press F3 it should work.
You don't need it for the game mode. I strongly suggest downloading the GUI and using that, make sure you press F3 though, else it wont work. (It took me ages to figure out F3 -_-)

im almost 100% sure your psp needs to be hacked, sry man. if u want to downgrade then upgrade to a custim firmware u can, but it is pretty dangerous

Look at 00:10. The *-FPS versions of the bat will show the fps. Similarly, *-FS is fullscreen. Pick the one you want. :)
