I've just noticed that you (and a youtube video of Jon Foreman) doesnt play exactly like how the song is played in Switchfoot's studio version of "Only hope". It seems that your intro and verse are the same, but the studio version's intro is different. It's kinda similar to the piano version of this song. On my mp3 file of "only hope", the part that I'm talking about is from 0:08 to 0:23. Do you get what I mean?

the reason why i posted the video of Jon playing the song is because I've figured out the way Jon plays it IN that video(live) but not necessarily according to the studio version.

I'm sorry I cannot play two guitars with two hands haha

I chose to play the main guitar part rather than just an intro solo and Jon does it that way as well.

Like, you've noticed, there is a reason why I posted a link to Jon's vid.

If you want the studio version, buy the official tab books.

Actually, Jon does play that last note on the intro/verse riff. It's just he plays it so fast, and he doesn't accent it so you can barely hear it. You're just skipping that last 16th note that he plays.
