Yes, firmware 2.2 HAS been released but DO NOT UPGRADE YET! I will have a video coming out soon on how to jailbreak firmware 2.2 sometime this week.

ok i got quickpwn oopen and im at the second step where i have to put the firmware in , i did it and nothing happened it just stayed on that same screen and the arrow didnt light up. can you tell me whats wrong?

Yea, you did not download the right firmware. Make sure you know what version of firmware you have and download the correct one from the website I gave you.

ok i did that and it said the fireware for my ipod was 2.1.1 (5F138) and when i put that in the second step the picture of the ipod does not show up

piano man, if yours is 2nd gen, there is no Jbreak for it.

2.1.1 is 2nd gen, so i guess, were both gonna have to wait it out =D

Delete everything and set up a new iPod. If you follow all of these steps correctly, this will work.

i need some help i did all the things u said but then after the hold home for 30 it tells me to wait for the ipod to get ready for jailbreaking and another window pops up the something is wrong with the application and must be closed the it closes what can i do????

Make sure you hold down the Home Button for the WHOLE process and make sure you are plugged into your computer. Try it again.
