  • Well, nothing about the title, and it's 2010. We only got news on Spirit Tracks

  • They did the hint thing in New Super Mario Bros Wii... but not in the way described. It shows Luigi completeing the level, then you have to do it yourself. This probably means they WILL add a hint system, but if you use it, it will be at a cost. I kinda wish Shigeru would blow off the newcomers and constantly make games that are for hardcore gamers... but that would be unfair. Maybe they could make a package that has alot of demos from past Zelda games that people could play...

  • 9000 views!

  • why is there banjo kazooe music playing?!

  • they need to make the new zelda games for the wii have an option to switch link from being right handed back to left handed for those that are left handed! llike me :D

  • @caliskaterboy94 true.

but that would take even more time

  • They might go a bit further in the past than AlttP I think

  • I don't know much, but, didn't they put the same scene option thing in the New Super Mario Brows that will come on the Wii??

  • Yes, Nintendo did. Super Mario Bros. Wii will be the first Wii game to utilize the help system.

  • Earthbounding, don't you have any news about a sequel to tp?

  • They should make a zelda game from ganon's viewpoint

  • NOOOO the hint and scene selecthing wil ruin the challenge and therfore the fun

i think that the scene thing should show up after beating the game y'know like an un ockable option that lets you watch the entire game like a movie... now thats a good idea

  • you arent forced to do the hint thingy only if you want to

  • Retro studios yaaay

  • ganondorf's son should b the new evil boss in my opinion. I think lik at the beginning he thought his dad would hav been killed by i dunno, something, and so at the beginning hes all gd and stuff, but then a friend of ganon tells him link killed him, even though he didnt do anything, and that his father wanted to make things rite, so he lik tries to continue wot his father did, and also try 2 kill link (WOW THAT JUST RANDOMLY POPPED INTO MY HED LOL)

  • The system by which u can start at any scene in the game could come in handy if your wii breaks dwon, or by some other means get a new wii or lose data.

  • for some the hint button might be a problem cause if you want to play with no help at all and get stuck and the buttons right there on screen what are the chances your not gonna push the button

  • ...I hope that all of this doesn't allow you just to watch the whole game (I also don't like the 'scene 001, sceene002' thing...)

I'm the kind of guy who likes the impossibly hard-ness of some of the puzzles... I also very much like the saving format that all of the original games have (i.e. TP and WW). I've played a lot of games in which you get to a certain point and the game saves automaticallly...

I don't like that kind of saving...

  • so hum...this is going to be for the ds, or the wii?

are we talking the same legend of zelda? or are u talking about spirit tracks?

i though this video was on the nw one for the wii

  • Because originally I thought there would only be a Zelda game for the Wii. Now that Spirit Tracks is announced, things will get confusing because I'm not really sure what all this news is about xD

  • LOL

Well, we DID get a Zelda trailer at E3... :)

  • can someone telll me how to get that awesome triangle animation??

  • Oh God, no! Not a hint system! Do you realize how tempting it's gonna be for me to use it if it's right there? I mean, it almost loses the realism in it. (By realism I mean the fact that if the game were reality you would have to figure out those puzzles on your own.) I DO hope there's an option to permanently disable it for your game file. :O

  • i agree. if there was a hint system i wouldn't challenge myself. everytime i would barely get stuck i would press it ruining my challenge and the game.

SAY NO TO THE HINT BUTTON! :P

  • this game better be epic!!!

  • Meh all we got was a freaking picture! :(

  • Bah...Just forget it...

    I'm a Nintendo harcore fan...And Nintendo might lose me...But they don't care.

Nintendo is like a revered hero, who backstabed his people for eternal life from an evil deity....And that deity is...The wii selling more than the rest.

  • I'm afraid it might be over. TP was pretty easy as well.. It was a good run Zelda.. :/.

  • what if the new zelda is just new play control! the wind waker

  • banjo kazooie music haha

  • ahh myamoto! wat about us?! the hardcore fans! the ones that have been with u since the begining! why hav u shuned us! us who waited till forever for ur new releases! us! who wrote down combos and ways to kill the boss! Us who played till are eyes turned red to save the princess! we are the true gamers! we became social outcast for u and now gaming is a hobby! Miyamoto!!

  • heh heh heh... I like your speculation! I hope they do keep it hardcore, but they use these options to allow ease for the casual gamers.... YEHSSSS!!!!

  • i read in a magazine that the game will possibly be called Legend of Zelda XV since its the 15th game and a trailer will be released in June 2009.

  • wut magazine?

  • GamePro Magazine

  • Appeal to all crowds? Make different games, bitch! You make all these "casual" games in what, 3 months? Make them side projects.

  • Two words: Mario Galaxy

This game was a hybrid-casual-hardcore game. Now tell me that SMGalaxy was made in 3 months.

  • Banjo-Kazooie!! Love that game..... it'll be nice if it came back to Nintendo....

  • "The despicable casual crowd"?

    What the hell?

  • duuuude no scene selection!!

    that would ruin zelda..

i liked how you could go back in time in LoZ:mm

but not like this..or you should only be able to use the scene selection feature if you've already completed the game..

and the hint feature is pretty bad too..keep navi..

using these 2 features makes it seem like any other game..and actually kind of childish in a way..and i love zelda being so unique

  • NOT NAVI ANYTHING BUT NAVI!!!!

  • Navi was a little annoying at times, but not that bad.

  • I actually liked Navi. She was like that annoying sibling that 's always following you around. I mean I would know being the youngest and all. More than likely I was that annoying sibling.... ... ... O.o

Anyway long story short, Navi wasn't all that bad.

  • Actually, Navi wasn't bad at all. The whole "annoyance" thing is mainly just a joke. After all, since Ocarina of Time, Navi (or the fairy itself) became a huge symbol for the Zelda franchise and nobody complains about that.

  • the info itself said the button would need activation. if you don't want it, don't use it.

  • I hope you could buy two different copies of the game, one with hint and one with out.

  • Hint button = bad. Half the fun of the games was figuring out the puzzles. If you can't do that then don't play the game.

  • I didn't mind that.

I just miss the info on enemies (especially their NAMES) that Navi and Tatl provided.

  • I'm not saying that was a bad system. But what they did was give you a hint. The way that this system has been described to me seems like it would tell you exactly what to do.

  • 2:18

    OMG BANJO KAZOOIE MUSIC

That brings back memories... when Nintendo still owned it... Ahh...

  • a hint button... idk whatll come off that...

  • Ive watched every part so far....I believe all of what U R putting. Good work dude :)

  • The hint system could just be a replacement for Navi/Midna, but then again it could be something that gives more detail. I'll probably never use it but it would be good for newcomers. This way "casual" gamers could play Zelda and beat the game without getting frustrated, and this could be a good way to up the puzzle difficulty for the more "hardcore" crowd. I also like the scene select idea. One thing I loved about Zelda:MM was being able to replay through areas by just simply going back in time

  • oh yaaaaa....

  • A hint button, huh... Well, it could be that this is a kinda replacement for navi/midna. They gave some sorta 'Hints' too, right?

  • Actually, they mostly just said "Link, keep moving!"

  • Hey earthbounding, I love your series...I think the hint button is probably going to be something like navi, or midna....seeing as they give you small hints and what not...what do you think?

  • nice!

  • i wish i could go forward in time...

i've never felt such anxiety before, in my whole life.

  • Normally i'd say TGC rather than E3, but due to Nintendo's rather poor show last year, they COULD reveal a short teaser for it to liven it up a bit.

  • It seems to me that Nintendo may be making all these puzzle solving additions to make the game better for lazy gamers.... that defeats the purpose of Zelda... challenging your mind when faced with difficult puzzles (anyone else agree?)

  • jep. I think they should put a difficoulty level for riddles/puzzles and for enemy's that you can choose at the intro screen just like silent hill. it would work for me. I would like to see a puzzle/riddle as tough as the one in the hospital, of silent hill 1, in zelda. if you know what I mean...

  • . :D

  • im just going to say it cuz i know someone els will part 12 lol

  • ...What?

  • a bit more of this in-depth info can be found at Zelda Universe forums.

  • If this is the first images then I hope they have a disable option on that there hint button. It would just be so tempting..

  • It would

  • Wafers.

  • Thanks for all the info matey!

  • once again thx for the info... but seriously if there going to put some hints and the digest system... they better make greatest game ever... but so far it sounds kind of babyish if u ask me with the hint system it sounds like a game my 7 year old sisters would play... but the digest system could be really neet as long as you pass the game to unlock the system and then just play your favorite parts.. i dunno just thinking out loud what do u guys think??

  • Hey thanks for explain very well the patent!!

I believe that the patent would be a great idea, 'cause Miyamoto now can make the hardest Zelda's puzzles, and the casual crowd can play whith the HINT system.

In other hand, there is a interview whith Shigeru where he said that maybe the E3 2009 doesn't seems to be a great place to announce the next Zelda. That's looks dissapointed, but we only have to wait.

Great Music: TLOZ: The Wind Waker Battle whith Ganondorf, and a great battle.

  • cool song!

  • I just saw the patent thing on yahoo.

  • seems too classic...

  • thnx for the info

but wat i find stupid about it is zelda is known for its head scratching, mind bottling puzzles. if they put the digest wat would be the point of playing the game if ur gonna know what is happening aka ruining the story

im not sure if u guys agree with this but wouldnt it be cool if they put more swords with different abilities for different bosses

  • init they just cant make the casual happy its about the hardcore like us

  • I just hope it doesn't become too casual, or i'll be pissed.

  • init

  • Well...I feel weird with this changes, anyway, i would like to see how it is, but i would have liked better the same old way that makes The Legend Of Zelda games original.

Thanks For The Information! Hope Times Runs Fast And E3 comes faster! However, i know its not sure the game will appear, but i would like to see what happens. Bye, Take Care!

  • jesus man screw those casual gamers!they already ruined 98% of nintendo The Legend of Zelda and Mario r the only good things left by nintendo....and now those fu**ing casual gamers want to ruin The Legend of Zelda???NO WAY!!!

  • And don't forget SSBB, Star Fox and Metroid Prime. Great games too, but the rest is crap.. I'm looking for a cheap 360, something to get the time run;)

  • yea actually i wanted to write those games as well......but i was too lazy xD

  • I'm confused :( .

  • that does not sound that good...

  • it is impossible to read what you write with dialogue underneath it

  • It is not impossible to read what I write with dialogue underneath.

  • ya but there are times when I have to go back in the video to better see what you were saying.

  • do u have msn

  • ...so, is it like before how you save and start from there with all your progress and such, or is it all pick a scene with stats that you would have from there and just play the scene(i hope it's not)? Or is it both?

  • those are english, aren't they suppose to be. they should be japanese...

  • Didn't I post a third big comment where I was wondering how big could Nintendo go with this game? ._. oh well, one day less so we can get our eyes on some footage :D

  • init it feels good do u think it will b good if the change it like this

  • Haha, Don't we all?

Great video, by the way, seeing as TLOZ is my favorite series...I just hope that it isn't too much of a casual game..

  • Awesome Dude.

    Thanks for the news!

  • i hope the still keep it as it was before or i swear i will kill nintendo

  • and i hope that nintendo isn't spending all this years for the casual gamers incapable of playing a game -.-

  • -.-

I'm really hoping that patent is for a expansion game, such as crossbow training or the tingle games

  • Dont screw this up nintendo...

  • And as always thank you for taking the time to gather all this information and posting it to keep us informed.

And well, when they say scenes I've thought they might mean a certain "event" within the game (an encounter, a big battle or a boss).

Oh my, until we see footage (which I hope ends up being a disappointment compared to the game itself and not the other way around) I can only dream of what a potential this game (and the team) have to be awesome, and make history in gaming industry.

  • Oh wow, that scene selection gives me a bad feeling about this.. I just hope that the game keeps to its roots, as to being an adventure game (free world, no stages or "levels" involved as if it was arcade), having an epic story (this is a must) and, for the "hardcore" gamers, it should be that, HARD, but well not hard, CHALLENGING (just throwing in enemies with higher stamina is bullshit -.-), or at least hard enough that it makes sense to have a "Hint" function

    C'mon Miyamoto, surprise us!.

  • i don't understand, why make fun of the casual gamers we and the hardcore are both gamers we are both of the same group( but to be honest, i am not that much of casual gamer for the LoZ games)

  • Because it's the casual gamers (or little kids) that totally destroyed the Wii. Because of them, Nintendo never more released a good game since Super Smash Bros Brawl. And still, there aren't any games coming up at it's level.

  • well this year there is going to be WAY more hardcore games such as madworld, the conduit, and more..... but this new zelda game seems awesome! and thank you for doing all this man!

  • i know ur a good human being earthboundin

  • I still don't get it. One of the options plays the game for you?

  • I love the idea of scene selections, it would be better, if you were only able to play scenes that you already passed.

  • I really hope they put a "scene select" option in. Many times in zelda games there are really fun parts that I really like that can only be played once. But with the scene thing you could do it over and over again any time you want w/o playing through the game again. Let's hope this patent stuff is real!

  • great video. the begining part about the patents was alittle confusing though. and if they give difficulty options, i hope they options for the bosses too -_-.but u no. that idea with the scene could work out like this: you choose the boss/ puzzle/scene then you choose a difficulty: normal, hard, then after beating it on hard you get LEGEND, which would be totally epic and realllllly hard to beat all the bosses on. i dont no, just an idea

  • dude im sooooo sorry youtube keeps deleting all your vids. thats just not fair.

  • Nice work getting all this info!

  • Well that's better than what i thought of. Cause if it does end up like that it will be easier for casual gamers but i would love for them to put a difficulty mode on the game so that it has alot harder enemies at the begging and at the end. Or if they have a new fighting system they could have the first level easy so that u can get used to it then make the enemies a challenge for hardcore and casuel gamer.

  • I like the idea of scene selections.

I do wish they would create completely seperate difficulties though for the game.

    Like Easy or Hard

And easy could have the hint button in there to while hard mode forces you to think without any hints and amps up the vitality of your enemies.

  • Or call them "Normal" and "Hard" so that those who pick "Easy" won't feel like they took the easy way, instead they'll feel they took the normal way.

  • Good point.

  • whoever made those patents arent very great at drawing are they -_-

  • Oh yeahhh

  • Thanks for the nice comments people!

  • nice video, can't till next E3 so they can reveal the new name, i gotta know!!!!!

Keep up the good work too. thanks

  • That's good news, but the stuff showed in the patent is way directed to casual gamers. That is likely from the new game, which means that it sadly will be quite casual. Whats the point of playing Zelda if you can skip the entire game just to play the boss battle? And a game that plays itself? WT?

  • Well... It still isn't fully confirmed if these modes will be present in the game. They can very likely be tools for the production team, so they can easily access any part of the game easily. Or... Not. The Patent is still a mystery... But I am surely going to spend some time researching over it.

  • I'd think that instead of skipping it would be more like warping. But eventually, you would have to go back and finish what you started. It's like selecting scenes in a movie, only you are required to watch the plot before the conclusion.

  • Yeah, i was also like WTF with that "play itself" mode, I don't remember Nintendo having that attitude when they threw players into the first legend of zelda just giving them their instruciton booklet to protect them haha

  • yeah, I know.

  • NOOOO,!!! the modernized games are awesome...

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhh i cant wait much longer or my brain will pop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol i wish it would come out tommorow

  • Omgwtfbbq! Thank you so darn much for making this! I love you, man! (in a non-gay way)

  • Not much? Are you kidding? The patent was the biggest news revealed so far.

  • i dont think id like that paitent thing.

telling you how to get past something kind of defys the point

i thought all your vidipos from now on were going to be white words on a black screen because you tube keeps delteing your vidios

    :)

    keep up the good work.

  • but it doesn't force you to use the hint system. thats only for people who are really stuck

  • I know, but it shows the direction they are going for the entire game.

  • i know but still people will just use it anyway which will develope into a system where you cant not use it.

  • banjo kazoie :P

  • Thank youu, =) I can't wait for part 12 :D

  • Thanks man can't wait for part 12!!!

  • So the patent thing is what the next game will look like?

  • Maybe, I think they're mostly raw ideas that they need to protect.

  • Interesting =)

  • Whoa, this episode was pretty dang productive. i also loved the DK music :D

  • Thanks! The music is "Mumbo's Mountain" of Banjo&Kazooie ;)

  • sry, meant BK, still awsome

  • Thanks man, I love you!
