That's true. Tow-in is another sport. Surfing to me IS paddling & dropping. Teahupoo is heavier than Pipeline. But I think Pipeline is more dangerous because is near to the beach.

it has nothing to do with how near it is too the beach its about how shallow it is and both pipeline and teahupoo are about teh same depth

Ok. But why so many people died surfing Pipeline? Because no one needs a boat to reach the lineup at Pipeline. Teahupoo is heavier, but Pipeline is more inviting

because there caverns and mini canyons that get you stuck under water and teahupoo goes from really deap to really shallow alot fast than pipe so it makes it heavier

I guess it must be really difficult get a nice shot in there, perfect understandeable by the way... the water explosion at the end of the wave, the reef you must pay atention to, and the force of the wave itself.... those all are factors to count with,,,, I think you can appreciate the power of the wave better from outside
