listened to midnight blues with bruce and JB outplayed him easily. omg, what a talent.screw rolling stone. they are friking deaf to great music. Go Joe/!!!!!!!!!!
It's pretty awesome that Joe even knows this song since he was one year old when the song and the movie (Eyes of Laura Mars) came out and was popular. Pretty impressive in my book!
I guess the one person that didn't like this couldn't find their favorite Boy George song.......this and The Last Matador of Bayonne.......fantastic....
I loved this song ever since Barbra sang it...And Joe Bonamassa you did an incredible version. Stayed true to the sound and I could listen to you do it over again.
Who gives a rats ass who wrote it. There are so many rentidions of many songs by many different artists. Stop bikkering over such trivial details. Just sit back and enjoy the song. Your both missing the point!
@eponaepona It's a Barbra Streisand song. It was the theme song of the movie "Eyes of Laura Mars". Brilliant cover. You have to have an amazing voice to cover a Streisand song this well.
I'm afraid it cannot be. Look here: LA Jets (and this was the band of Karen Lawrence) have this song on their 1976 album. The movie you're talking about was filmed 1978. Check it out on Google. Streisand made a cover of LA Jets (K.Lawrence as the author) song.
Btw this is one of the most beautiful songs uncle Joe made on this new album. I have to say, after hearing him live last fall, I had doubts that he would like to sing ever again, but he handled it perfectly!
@eponaepona You're completely missing the point. No one said Streisand WROTE the song. It's HER song because she made it a huge HIT. It WAS the theme song for "Eyes of Laura Mars". PERIOD.
Saw Joe in GR MI live. What an incredibly talented artist! He played for two and half hours straight. It was an amazing concert. This is my new favorite Bonamassa song.
Simply put....Incredible....this song has so much feeling and Joe's vocals have come such a long way....this guy is fantastic,,,,this tune is even better than " Dust Bowl " even though they are both great tunes but this one touches the soul....play on Joe...Can't wait to hear this one live!!
Utterly beautiful, just as I expected from Joe. Young, supremely talented and a living tribute to blues and rock - what more could be asked of a musician? Love the new album!
Very good. I hope you carve out your own niche very soon and, with luck, become a big name.

It's not a Streisand song, the author is Karen Lawrence (the lady sang for LA Jets and maybe you know her from backing vocals of Aerosmith.
