  • Unions have become unreasonable and uncompetitive. Public sector unions are just parasitic on the tax payers.

  • read online "the failure of the liuna reform" to learn about union

  • The undersigned employees of the US Government do NOT want to be represented by AFGE. Should the undersigned make up 30% or more of the bargaining unit, the employees hereby petition the NLRB to hold a decertification election. Should the undersigned make up 50% or more of the bargaining unit, the employees hereby request that the US Government withdraw recognition from AFGE immediately.

  • They look like ACORN!

  • someone tell that woman if she needs money go to work for it like everybody else - stop trying to live off the rest of us

  • So much for the "New Tone". Can you imagine if a Republican said "when people say we just have to pay less in wages, whether it's private sector or public sector, I think they're mentally retarded to say something like that."?

  • Unions are always mean spirited and have a separatist agenda. Duality thinking is when "they" are better than you and think "they" deserve more.

Unions are dead, along with the 25 cent loaf of Wonder bread.

When Jimmy Hoffa died, he took unionism with him.

Let it all rest in peace. But "they" won't because they have their agenda.

    Good luck with all that.

  • .

TAXING THE RICH IS KEY FOR ANYONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE "ECONOMIES OF SCALE" THEORY

    .

  • Where does Gage say those who believe in cutting spending are mentally retarded? I see him saying "when people say we just have to pay less in wages, whether it's private sector or public sector, I think they're mentally retarded to say something like that." There's a difference. It's important not to put words in liberals mouths not there. It's OK to comment on implications, but not make up statements. Liberals do that enough.

  • @Recon135 I'm a conservative guy without a home when the new "conservatives" don't even quote their opponents correctly.

GOP? Cons? You've lost this voter for life with your lies.

  • @itpduder, like many progressives you seem aliterate. Look up the word. I gave a direct quote yet you don't say I'm wrong, just that I lied. Are you an agent provocateur or unable to understand the English language?.

The point I'm making is all too often liberals and their cohorts resort to deliberately misquoting their opponents to achieve their agenda. By their philosophy that's OK. Do you believe it's OK for conservatives to retaliate in kind? I say honesty is our best weapon.

  • @Recon135 ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Thank you for making me laugh. You call me illiterate, while spelling it "aliterate" and then tell me to look up the word and then say I don't understand the English language.

Go back under your rock, dummy.

  • @Recon135 *aliterate.* You fucking moron. If you are going to call someone illiterate, learn how to spell it. You pwned yourself you fucking idiot.

  • @itpduder, you're simply prevaricating; I didn't call you illiterate. It's either that or you're abysmally ignorant. If you had a good dictionary you'd realize aliterate is a word. I take it you were either too lazy or inerudite to find the word, thus you resort to foul language and an ad hominem attack.

To counter your ignorance and semi-illiteracy, the word aliterate refers to a person who can read and write but chooses not to learn from what he reads. My remarks about you stand.

  • @Recon135 Son of a gun, and here I thought I would never learn something from youtube.

Nevertheless, my comments about you stand. Read my initial comment. I say I'm a conservative guy but have been betrayed by the GOP. Yet you call me a "progressive."

But hey, that's the GOP line: Agree with the GOP all the way or be cast aside. Like I said, the GOP lost my vote for life. That sort of dogmatism should be canned, but it's only getting worse.

  • @itpduder, if the GOP raises the debt ceiling or fails to pass a sane budget I'll vote 3rd party like the Constitution Party.

Gates was misquoted but we mustn't lie like liberals. I said Gates said, "when people say we just have to pay less in wages, whether it's private sector or public sector, I think they're mentally retarded to say something like that." I felt you called me a liar with "You've lost this voter for life with your lies." Did I misinterpret you? If so, I'll apologize.

  • @Recon135 yeah, you misinterpreted me, but this internet thing is not always conducive to understanding people. It's easy to misinterpret people on these tubes. The meaning of "losing this voter with your lies" was directed at the GOP in general; not to anyone in particular including yourself.

It's a near certainty the GOP will raise the debt ceiling by July.

  • @itpduder, please accept my apology. I happen to agree with you about the GOP despite my having been a registered Republican for nearly three decades. I hope you're wrong about their raising the debt ceiling but I fear you might be right. Personally I believe we need a viable third party that believes in the Constitution.

  • @Recon135 apology accepted. As far as the Constitution goes, it's a matter of interpretation. I studied a year of Con Law in law school, coming in with one opinion and leaving with another. It's not even close to being a perfect document, but it does set a framework. One man's belief in the C brings you Scalia's originalism, and another man's belief in the C brings you Breyer's pragmatism. And both are very smart men. My fave jurisprudence is Black's textualism.

  • @itpduder, I agree the Constitution is open to interpretation; but not to wild invention. I like Black's approach. He & Scalia aren't far apart but Black wasn't as rigid. I like the approach of Justice Story myself. I agree the Constitution sets up a framework. I'd add to Black's textualism, which discounts intentionalism, a strong consideration of the Federalist Papers.

  • @Recon135 I do believe Scalia and Black are a ways apart in jurisprudence, though their conclusions may often look alike. I'm not a fan of original intent. Take the 2nd Amendment. The original intent never considered automatic weapons. They were talking about breach-loaded weapons which is a world apart from even semi-automatic weapons or even modern revolvers. We do have to fill in some gaps. But you make a huge point with regards to wild invention. Ex: Interstate commerce interpretation.

  • Story wrote, "The C unavoidably deals in general language, It didn't suit the purposes of the people, in framing this great charter of our liberties, to provide for minute specifications of its powers, or to declare the means by which those powers should be carried into execution. It was foreseen that this would be a perilous & difficult, if not impossible task. The instrument wasn't intended to provide merely for the exigencies of a few years, but was to endure through a long lapse of ages."

  • Unions today are the Mafia of the Past. Union Thug Bosses. The Mob "family" are mostly worthless individuals who couldn't make it in a free society so they adopted a socialist shadow government within the US Government. I am looking for the Presidential candidate that will CRACK DOWN on these socialists. All the Heavily union states are the most in debt (BROKE) I say let them go bankrupt and void those gravy train pensions. Minimally make them on a scale to that of regular businesses.

  • Just because unions have done their jobs in getting the most they can for their members and the GOP failed to do its job in negotiating federal contracts while it was in power doesn't mean you have to hate the union. It simply means that Gage is doing a better job than Republicans.

Why would you want someone who is doing their job removed?

  • What a class act. He must've been bowling with Obama.

  • to hell with unions and to hell with obama

  • February 8th? Hmmm, wasn't that a work day for these "public servants"? So now we're paying them to participate in union rallies? What part of taxpayer funded do they not understand? It takes at least 10 private sector jobs (or more) to pay for every government job, so if anything, we should be reducing this drain on our workforce.

  • These dope heads are getting paid 2 times as much as similar jobs in the private sector and that bitch is screaming for "More Money". She's living like a queen and if that uneducated loon was like the rest of us.....Having to make it on our own.....she'd be flipping pancakes at IHOP for $7.50/hour part time so she wouldn't receive benefits. We want more money! What money? Obama money? Where does Obama get it? I don't know.....his stash I guess..... OFF THE BACKS OF REAL WORKING PEOPLE

  • These Unions are just welfare for worthless people. People that can't make a living on their own rely on getting on with a union for a lifetime or generations of guaranteed employment. SOCIALISM straight up. I'm voting for the Presidential candidate that is willing to stand up to the unions and make it so they can be fired, or greatly reduce their earnings or break them up totally. Someone is Mentally Retarded......I think its the Union Mafia Boss.

  • Public-sector unions have a major influence on gov. policies through their vigorous lobbying efforts. They are particularly influential in states that allow monopoly unionization through collective bargaining.Collective bargaining is a misguided labor policy because it violates civil liberties and gives unions

excessive power to block needed reforms. To put citizens and taxpayers back in control of their gov, collective bargaining and forced union dues should be outlawed in the public sector

  • More of the same from unions... nobody is surprised anymore.

  • this is the same union filth that are getting waivers to opt out of obama care-- my god---- to hell with obama and his union crimminals

  • Unions have Corrupted themselves and now must be investigated and charged under the RICO laws and imprisoned and their Ill-Gotten Gains & Other Assets be Seized and returned to the Union Members that they robbed them from!

All of their Criminal Political Co-Conspirators need to be sitting in the jail cells right along with them!

Only when all of these people have been dealt with, can we restore this nation to the Greatness it once enjoyed before the Liberal Socialistic Idiocy infected it!!!

  • What an insult to all of our citizens that are truly mentally challenged. I thought this kind of evil talk was out of date, you know politically incorrect. If any conservative or Republican person said such a thing publicly the main stream press would hang them so to speak. Where are they now?

  • @dizo54 its ok when a liberal( progressive ) talks like this

  • The middle class, literally, would not exist if not for unions. Now, unions are vilified. What's happening to the middle class? It's almost gone! Look at the numbers. Inequality in America is closer to that of 3rd world countries than it is to modern first world countries. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and the rest of us get poorer and leave the middle class.

  • No goddamn union is going to tell ME what to do, my BOSS PAYS me what tto do. I am gonna work and MAKE MONEY if I want to, I ain't striking if I DON'T WANT TO, let someone else strike, I WANT MY GODDAMN PAYCHECK THAT I WORKED FOR! I aint standing around jacking off in a goddamn picket line not making no money.

  • @vktrtech strikes happen because the wage is unfair. the paycheck you earn in a union job is better than the one you earn otherwise. unions have existed for as long as human societies have organized. There is no such thing as union's being irrelevant.

  • @thededhed66 That would be nice, if they actually would have helped me, but they just toldme "you're going to strike" like they are my dad or something, then when I needed my medicine, and other things that cost money, the damn union did not give me ANYTHING and I ran out of money, ended up in hospital because I could not afford anything, nearly starved, had to steal the apples off of their trees that they did not even EAT, and Nobody offered to help me not one little bit.

  • @vktrtech A union is supposed to Help you through the strike, they owed me money, I paid my union dues, on time and in full. I had a seizure right in their office and they did not do a dang thing for me, I woke up not knowing whata was going on, nobody even ask me if I was ok, they just go "are you finished?" and I am going WHAT? finished with what? I had to get the police to get me some money to just buy that week's groceries. I nearly had another heat stroke because

  • those buttholes made me walk around in 90 degree weather holding a stupid sign! I woke up in hospital a day later. I quit that job it was literally going to kill me.

  • Comment removed

  • All of the jobs that were created recently were government jobs. Yet it is the private sector that actually creates wealth, the public sector consumes wealth. We build a larger and larger public sector dependant upon a gov't that is dedicated to larger guv'ts and higher taxes.

  • I love how the Union supposenly makes it a better enviroment to work in, yes they made it a better work place for the factory I worked at. The Union demanded more money so the company I worked for for 15 years went to China now the Chinese have great working conditions. I wasnt in the Union and now I have no job. Thank you Union you made everything better. I guess the conditions were you dont work anymore?

  • @diny540 would you rather work is abusive conditions like China has, or in livable modern conditions like you have in union jobs?

  • @thededhed66 excuse me but I know alot of people who work in non-union and they are treated great! They dont stop you from getting harassed. UPS has union and the guy told me they treat him like crap. He's union. What was they going to do pull the whip on me. Not hardly, we are still in America and a whole new century. Get with it man. The Union was needed in a century when conditions were bad, hello its not like that anymore!

  • We just don't need to just pay them less, we need less of them. There are too many bureaucracies that are not compatible with free people and the Constitution.

  • Just take a look and listen to the employyes themselves. And we have to pay though the nose to support that??????????

  • Unions are great? In 1953 American schools & school aptitude was the highest on the planet. Then came the unions and The Dept of Education, we are now 20th!

    END OF STORY!!!

  • @LPCycles even you must know that's a ridiculous logical conclusion to make from those two statements alone. If we funded the D of E, or education in general in this country, we would still be higher. Instead, whenever people want to make cuts, education and children's healthcare are the first to go.

  • @thededhed66

Actually, LPCyces is absolutely correct. When the D of E took over and the union came in the cost of education continued upward as the quality of education has decreased. Education was much more proficient when it was the tax payers in the communities that were directly involved in the curriculum and the teachers in their Schools. Skin in the game so to speak. The Gov't through the D of E and the union greed has raised the cost to educate.

  • @thededhed66

Unions have brought in the tenure system and the tenure system guarantees that no teacher can be fired no matter how bad that teacher is. We are paying for this like it or not. No amount of additional money thrown at a failing debacle will fix it. The fact is that Private Schools Home schooled children are fairing far better then public Schools.

  • Union leaders are not too greedy. It's actually amazing that Big Money in this country has somehow convinced working people that the people who try to improve worker's conditions are the problem. Union leaders are not fat cats. They work hard every day to improve the lives of workers. The middle class exists because of the labor movement, and it is becoming extinct because the right and wealthy are spending tons of money to convince people unions are the problem. Wake up people.

  • @thededhed66 Excuse me but the union was in the factory I worked at and one of the machine operators sat in a chair all day and went to the bathroom ( I counted ) 25 times. because production and cost they went to another country. Im unemployed and have a family to feed!

  • @diny540 you're not unemployed because of the union. whatever country that firm moved to probably has terrible working conditions, conditions which you would never accept. Employers are free to exploit wherever they see fit without unions. That's why unions exist. The idea that the free market is best is a myth. The free market is a race to the bottom. Firms employ whoever will work for the lowest wages and worst conditions. That's why unions exist. America has standards, so capitalists leave.

  • Haha No wonder that lady doesn't have a job.

  • Is it really a fucking surprise by now that these union thugs were recipients of the slush fund called stimulus? I thought this would be common knowledge by now that the only recipients of the slush fund were obama supporters and union thugs. I mean, the folks on wall street were obama voters! I feel bad but not really for those who voted for him. You people helped bring about the destruction of America.

  • and they want us to "import" a car from Detroit.. I'll pass.

  • Don't you get kicked out of your little commie club for using the term retarded these days? I thought libs weren't allowed to say that. Hey guy, it is you that is mentally retarded if you think you are getting more of our money for your outrageous benefits. See, I'm not a commie soooo, I can still use words like midget, stewardess, secretary, etc. Where is the civility the left keeps promising? Let me encourage you assholes to keep getting out and exposing yourselves for the assholes your are.

  • Way to go! You tell your evil employers who's boss! Oh wait, that's us.

  • All public sector unions need to be outlawed and banned. If necessary, by Constitutional Amendment. Doing this will save America.

  • union-busting is still alive and well.

  • Unions are the modern Organized Crime. Government can also take on the form of Organized Crime. That is why the Left sleeps with the Unions.

  • These people are parasites. "We need money, NOW". Our stupid Federal Government is already spending $3.6 Trillion a year and only taking by force from the producers about $2 Trillion. They simply cannot pay for their spending as it is. These Government union people negotiating with other Government union people for their fat, bloated salaries and pensions are exactly what is killing this country today. It`s going to take a real revolt by the producers to stamp out these parasites on our economy.

  • Unions do not belong in the public sector. I don't want my tax dollars going in their pockets!

  • All these people will be put in a FEMA camp when they revolt and cause anarchy. I guess we need to build more FEMA camps. They're gonna fill up fast.

  • Still yet another shining example of the moral and ethical corruption socialism induces. If the AFGE had their way, the whole country would be like Chavez's Venezuela.

  • Classic union fat cat, getting his money from the working people. It's people like him who are responsible for many of our problems. Unions are dead. They sound nice and happily take your money, but when you really need them, they'll piss on you.

  • John Gage is the one who is mentally retarded...for responding to NY Gov. Mario Cuomo's (D) suggestion that 10,000 gov workers take less "cadilac" retirement benefits.

  • Government Bureacrats wanting fatter wallets on the backs of taxpayers. As a taxpayer, you're nothing but a stupid sheep who gives your paycheck over to them, to continue doing what they do. Look at the goofy protester bitch screaming in ebonics in the video. THAT is who you are supporting with Federal Government employees. Now that want to Unionize the TSA? But we as taxpayers are "retarded". What an arrogant money leech asshole.

  • Here, we'll pay you with rocks, sticks, and some old gum from under the table because that is all we have left. See, you're too dumb to understand math and its relation to economics so please take this rock and go buy some bread my little Unionite, run along now.

  • AFGE...Because only a trained professional can handle the finer nuances of emptying a waste basket.

  • Unions once played an important role in America. So did Whale Oil and the Pony Express.

  • @dencal26

Unions can still serve an important role, but just like capitalists being too greedy is the only thing wrong with capitalism, the union leaders being too greedy is the one thing that's terribly wrong with the unions.

The AFGE would want their employees to get more money because that means the union leaders get more money themselves from union dues.

Plus, it's VERY easy to see people like John Gage as parasites, sucking blood from those he's supposed to represent.

  • @dencal26 In 2009, 39% of state and local workers were members of unions, which was more than five times the share in the private sector of 7%. (if you ad fed workers it is 50%) Because of collective bargaining these unions have a monopoly in the market and as we know with monopolies in business they create higher cost and lower quality services. Monopoly unions create similar problems in labor markets. State gov should ban collective bargaining in the public sector. Taxpayer pay these salaries.

  • @dencal26 As taxpayer who pay public workers salaries it is unfair to us that collective bargaining gives these union political power against us. They have far more many workers then needed, higher salaries and massive benefits that tax payer pay for but get no say in the bargaining process. The Collective bargaining has to go. There are massive unneeded and incompetent government workers that can't be fired because of this.

  • @dencal26 Are you serious? Who do you think is going to fight for and protect workers rights and the interests of the working class? The Bosses, the CEOs, the Republican party, the wall street investors?

  • @TheDakota671 Collective bargaining of private sector unions allowed workers to get protection and fair pay in the past before there was much labor law. Now workers have many protections in the form of tons of legislation. Some think unions are now unnecessary because of this.

The guy in the video runs a public sector union. That is different. Public employees are protected by even more legislation and their unions are negotiating with themselves basically. They are out of control.

  • takes one to know what mental retardation is...

  • This YT video explains exactly why the Left can Never change: "Former KGB Agent Explains the Brainwashing of America 1980's".

45 Goals of Communists in USA were Exposed in 1963, and Many have been Accomplished.

Communist Party website lists the Same Goals as the Democrats!!!

  • Those Screaming Banshee marchers sure look and act 'mentally challenged'.

  • Mr. Gage needs to look in the mirror...he'll see retarded....geeze liberalism is a mental disease with seemingly no cure....

  • “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism,’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

    - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

  • This is horrifying.

  • Hurry up and riot you commie fucks..the sooner "we the people" can deal with you accordingly

  • Gotta love protected classes.

Imagine if a Republican or a local Chamber of Commerce-ite ever said this.

The press would be in meltdown mode for weeks crying foul. And it would be open season for the media to tar every single GOP elected official and private sector businessman or woman in the country with the Hate Brush.

But of course its perfectly OK if a union goon with close ties to Obama says stuff like this, because it shows how much more they CARE than you do.

  • what a bunch of entitlement minded TWATS ...

  • @ItsNotMyBong What a bunch of GREEDY entitlement minded TWATS!!

  • Hey Mr Gage who pays your wage moron, who is the retarded one here ?Gov cannot give everyone a job because they cannot make a profit .Then who pays you in your cushy Union job .Well lets just print up more money and devalue the dollar even more.Stop spending our children into oblivion its not a request ,its not hard to figure out .Its your children also .What will you tell them? sorry kids grandkids great grandkids Pappy was a dumb ass

  • I can say this Mr. John Gage, I saw Obama and the Dems coming a mile away, so I laid everyone off almost 2 years ago, 15 people that is, I kept 2 guys on at half wages and the rest are all unemployed as of now and willing to work for less, but I am not hiring anyone until the Gov. gets the hell out of my way. I already have to charge twice as much as I should because of red tape. You sir are the one who is mentally challenged.
