By the time you hot-rod them to make decent power they get shitty mileage and are less reliable than the gas motors.

Race them...the diesel will win. and almost all stock gas trucks from 1/2 ton..to 1 ton, get around 17-21 miles per gallon. diesels get around 23-26 miles per gallon...so yah the diesels are more powerfull, can tow alot more, and gets better mileage, and they put alot more work into them so the frame, motor, body...etc. are ALL more reliable! so fuck off!
