Tribute to Aloha Airlines

Thanks for this really nice video..although I never flew with them myself (or maybe I did, I can't remember which small airlines we flew with years ago in the 70's between HNL-Kauai) anyway, I remember lots of airlines that went belly up like Eastern and Western, in fact, we flew from ANC-HNL on Western Airlines "champagne service" I remember looking at all the people drinking (I was underage) and being amazed at how happy everyone was! ;) ALOHA!

you cant just go back into service, it takes a lot more money to maintain a passenger jet than a cargo jet.

and a cargo jet is more profitable if you use large aircrafts.

Sun Country now has N751AL in the Aloha livery. They did remove Aloha though. Still has the birds of paradise. I assume that Sun Country is leasing this plane from the lessor.

And you wonder why we shouldn't have offshore oil drilling? Well, these airlines are going bankrupt because of the cost of fuel.

my mom worked 4 Aloha for 22 years, now all out of the blue, she doesnt have a jod. just like 200+ other employees. "Go's" a bitch.

I'm shocked to hear this, i had no idea they had finished. No more 'Funbird'. Now I wished I'd taken a flight on one of their 737-200s last year. I hope N823AL 'Liholiho' is saved for preservation, in her iconic 'Funbird' livery, capturing all the spirit and vibrancy of a Hawaiian holiday. I suggested they do this when retired, and reply was she was in many of their hearts. Sic Transit gloria and RIP.

Damn it!! That completly sucks, and also very sad!!  I wonder how the former employes are doing? I just hope they found another job. Man, I'm going to miss Aloha. I only flew with them only 2 times. I wish it could have been more.

But anyway, Aloha E' Aloha. I'm going to miss your "Aloha Sprit" in the Hawaiian skies.

Now the only local carier left is Hawaiian.

I just really hope they don't shut down.

By the way: GO! needs to GO AWAY!!!
