Exposing the film is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is follow the directions, really, and put it out in the sun to develop. If it's a cloudy day, obviously, you'll need to develop longer. I've used these sheets before and never had a problem. You don't have to be an expert at this before you get it right, lol. However, the sheets are too pricey for me so I use the liquid developer. In the future, don't give a product a bad review because you didn't follow the directions.
I teach screen printing online and it is a lot of fun. But I get asked about this product often. I figured it was worth a look. If you keep testing your exposure times, it should work a lot better once you have that figured out. I think the point of this product is you do not need screens and you don’t have to coat them. But it is still a photographic emulsion process which takes a little skill to master. Thanks for sharing.
I used ez screen to print a saying and bible verse on 40 tshirts for our church ladies annual conference. I used 1 screen for all the shirts and it was wonderful. The letters came out crisp and everyone was pleased with their tshirts.
Over all I’m very satisfied with the Photo EZ experience. It was easy and fun I enjoyed the whole progression from the image creation to printing. Total cost was under $50 for the Photo EZ starter kit and ink, I still have an unused screen and plenty of ink left……nice. Best of all my screen and the entire starter kit fits in a folder which I keep on a shelf, no other tools to store and no other chemicals to store just my ink. I had a great experience and would recommend.
I use the StencilPro product and have made over a dozen stencils without any problems. I think the trick is to use a consistent light source for exposure (I use the florescent lamp in my kitchen) and to double-up your transparencies during exposure to prevent light from leaking through.
You must of not done it right,I've made excellent detailed screens using photoez, and you have room to miss up not like conventional screenprint suppiles.
you do not have to be an expert to use photoez. i'm 19 and have been using it for 2 years. did you state what kind of paper you used or how opaque your ink was? if not then this is a biased review. plus you exposed in cloudy weather, which if you read in the instructions it says DIRECT SUNLIGHT. photoez will work beautifully if the directions are correctly followed, its not rocket science. and instead of making this false video, why didn't you call ezscreen and ask for help if you had problems?
eh, i dont think he maliciously tried to make a "false video" - its a solid try, he just didnt follow the directions very well.
Emulsion paper at $10 a pop is pretty expensive. If you have an occasional project, it may be a good buy, but if you print with any regularity you'll save a ton over time if you just invest in screens and emulsion. Though it is worth mentioning that any print screening has a degree of trial and error involved.
@mcharnitski Actualy you cant think like that. Its cinda going apples and oranges. The point is here. Point is a screen costs about 100 bucks and if you want a new motive you must reclaim it. This stuff is something completly diferent, bad side is you cant reclaim EZ but you have the print waiting for later use. And any time u want you can atach it in you screens. I think its fukking briliant idea. Maybe not for photo etc but as personal custom artistic sjablongs its fukking dope!
I think the problem is you did not follow the instructions to expose to DIRECT sunlight, to produce a strong burn into the screen. You seemed to expose to cloudy conditions.
I've used this product, and i've been able to make some pretty good shirts.
Secondly, the YOUtube video is not posted by the company , but by a user. Of course the company will reiterate to follow their instructions since they cannot be held responsible for someone's video.
Good review I was looking at this product to save time as I have been screen printing for about 3 years now and I have a 4 color print press and Was looking at this for both screen printing and possible airbrushing, happy I watched it and WILL NOT be purchasing it, as you have the same problems with the "professional" supplies
Do this Product Doesn't Need silk screen so how to fix on frame ???

You just messed up the exposure, that's not the product's fault.

Yes, a home brew kit for sure. Check out my videos for tutorials on screen printing and heat transferring tee shirts. Questions welcome.

another point is the cost of
frame with screen, emulsion, uv box, and paints will cost ALOT more than the starter kit for this product....
PhotoEZ get's you up and running for less than 40.
if you are only needing to make 4 or 5 shirts i'm not exactly sure how PhotoEZ is not better (assuming you follow instructions exactly)
