  • ~ Microcosm Macrocosm. As above, so below ~ The Universe is a giant womb. Comets (sperm) seed planets (eggs). We are all made of the same matter, we are all one. The elite 1% don't want us to know, they want us either as dumbed down factory drones or soldiers, fighting over the final ounce of their precious oil or water, forcing their religious values on us or capitalism which has driven us only further apart, away from the truth. Why have they pushed us away from nature....

  • wonderful .

  • ahh dont worry nasa is not closing its doors, there just stoping the shuttle program. The one thing i know for sure is that hind sight is 20/20 and ill bet you will be seeing those shuttles returned to use in 3-6 years.. unless they design a new orbiter that people can get to space on to fix are many many objects in space...

  • I wonder where all the energy came from to form all those galaxies and stars, just think of all the stars out there, there is that many gamma-ray burst waiting to happen.

  • Widershins: Science without religion is pure, Religion without science is blind.

  • i just started to think yesterday about how massively vast space is, trillions of miles across, and it's basically a void, and a strong vacuum of unimaginable force, and yet the little bolts and screws and rubber stoppers in a space suit can stop that vacuum from sucking the pressure inside... crazy right?

  • wow, this video is been votebotted. Atleast it seems like that.

  • Yep, chech the statistics. It's very obvious that this video has been votebotted...

5 star to dillute those damn stupid votebots

  • (an excerpt from one of my previous comments)...

-'I think Humanity is capable of understanding so much more as a whole. If it wasn`t for religion making us focus our efforts on war, and serving to create a medium for social control and a dumbed down population, I think the 'space race' would of had us Terraforming Mars by now, Strait up!'

  • The trouble is, war is what drives technology.

The rocket technology that put the first man in space, later on the moon, was developed from German V2 rocket technology.

Hopefully we'll get to a stage where we don't have to slaughter millions to put one in space.

  • Indeed.

"..how we gonna go to mars and explore new terrain, when most of us scared just boardin a plane!"

  • @TheAngryBum war is something we need this planet is getting packed my friend theres still space but not alot do you think life would of been any easier if those 6 million jews didnt die in ww2 think of how many families they would of made im pro war but i dont belive in killing innocent people the holocaust is horrible my Opa survived it (not a jew but polish) war is another way of population control not saying wars are started just for that reason but population control is a side effect of war

  • ..'I often find my self envisioning being the first person to step off a space ship, onto the surface of newly discovered extrasolar planet, and looking up at the sky to see beautiful moons with atmospheres that support vast oceans. Only to look down, out across the horizon, and to realize,it is teaming with diverse life. And I imagine the news reaching Earth, and seeing peoples faces as they truly think, for the first time, We`re not alone, and them realizing, humanity`s journey-has only begun.'

  • Are you still on about the et crap? I thought I made it pretty clear: ASTRONOMY =/= LOOKING FOR ALIENS

    "phone home! lol"

Am I meant to understand that you just giggled at your own lame, 3 day old "joke"? That's pretty bleak...

  • Astronomy has just about fuck all to do with finding extra terrestrial life.

PS: For a fun game, try to calculate exactly how much of your own money goes to this kind of research... I bet it's next to nothing.

  • For the people who don't want to do it themselves...

NASA's 2009 funding represents a little over half of a percent of United States' federal spending. So, for every $1,000 you pay in taxes this year, $5.67 of that went to NASA.

To put it in perspective, all the programs that get more money than NASA got $939.19 of your $1000 bucks.

More people need to know this information.

  • and?

  • The original poster was voted down, so you don't have context. My comment was a response to his, pointing out how NASA doesn't cost that much.

  • @joeloud1 i agree we need nasa im so interested with space i have questions like if huble van see constalations and zoom on galaxies why cant it look directly at our planets in our solar sytem and get great shots of them but obama is pissing me of he wants to shut down asa end all moon walks but he wants to go to mars? makes no sense

  • That X-Ray telescope is mental. I always wondered what those pictures of clouds in space where about.

  • I watched this podcast on my iPod yesterday! Great episode.
