By steadyness I mean, she would point the qual for hours without catching it.

In Europe creeping is not a fault, what more, it is expected from the dog, but the dog shouldn't flush the bird unless instructed so.

My clever Iris knows exactly that it is a planted quail, so she can aproach it at a close distance, because it will not fly away, but still, she would point it for hours, unless fetch command is given.
