I am using Elixir Phosphor Bronze medium gauge (.013-.056) coated strings on my D-60. For me this guitar sounds great. The trebles may not be as bright as a Taylor, but this is what I want. I love my D-60.
I play a Larrivee too, love it, love how they sound like a piano on the lower notes, and the harmonics are better than any other guitar in the world, I play a LV09 though
