Ever wonder why Russo booked differently on the Wed night PPVs? Its because he had stroke then. now he has to book under Spike Tv the same way Heyman had to when it was TNN. It's just that TNA has a longterm contract with them so they cant say F it like Heyman did. Russo is the one going to bat for the TNA fans and fighting with Spike TV. NWA didn't drop TNA, TNA dropped NWA. TNA didn't want to be known as another NWA division so they decided to drop NWA from their name.
TNA are a sell-outs? Oh man you wouldn't get anywhere in business, this is natural progression. Growing revenues, record TV ratings and in my opinion 2 of the most entertaining hours on TV each week. If TNA didn't "sell out" they wouldn't even be on TV. It's only because of big names like Angle, Booker, Sting etc that they have a TV contract with Viacom.
I'm not saying that they aren't doing well buisness wise. But this is not the TNA anyone wants to see besides TNA. WWE is taking in hundreds on millions a year, but are they producing good television, no. NA promised to be the alternative but now crossing the line doesn't bring much different. They have the oppurtunity to do innovative things, cutting edge but they rather choose to follow the same template of staleness.
This is not the TNA anyone wants to see? Eh speak for yourself man. Sure they make some questionable booking decisions but outside of that the product is better than what it was before and the TV ratings back up my point.
TNA is better now than it was when it first started, but it's not as good as it was between the time Russo left and then eventually came back. Personally, that period without Russo was when I really started following TNA, and since Russo came back I find TNA harder and harder to watch. Although, it's still better than the crap WWE has been shoveling for quite some time.
Nah..TNA then is better than TNA now. I love TNA way back..now, I enjoy it but not nearly as much. The stuff during their one hr deal was great..as for the PPVs, I couldnt say. Ive seen a few matches and loved them all, buit its obvious Id see the best of back from the PPV days as no one will put up bleh matches

Ratings and PPV buys are the only things that matter. If you get ratings and PPV buys you're ENTERTAINING the fans. Without them you'd have no deal, no fans and all that. No one would buy a WWE event if what lead up to it didnt entertain them. It doesnt matter who's in your fanbase - it's the fact that you have a fanbase. I may like TNA alot better than WWE, and TNA may be the fastest growing, and I dont think ratings say if something is good, but they mos def do matter

That was the NWA tag and NWA heavyweight titles that the NWA wanted back and TNA gave it them back then brought in the TNA equivilent (and a new look x-division title too).

I think it was good that TNA finally got their own belts. It made the company itself look better when having TNA World belts rather than another organizations belts even though they didn't carry that same prestige at the time.
Ah..and I guess. WHile I prefer the design of TNA's belts (especially the X), the belts seemed somewhat more important when it was the NWA..dunno why. Hopefully they can do alot more with the belts. Tag is fine, but World is kinda..eh right now
My friends and I saw this promo after Lockdown, fuck it is funny. It's like those old WWE film parody promos. And that is a good looking suit. It does, however, draw attention to how ridiculous the suicide character is.

WWE fans dont even think of changing the channel to their competition because as I understand, Mick Foley, who wrestled in WWE under the name Mankind, has won their world title.
I think there are some guys who are a little bit better than AJ as far as high-flying, one guy that comes to mind is Matt Sydal AKA Evan Bourne. However Sydal weighs about a buck 60 soaking wet and is in the WWE where he won't be allowed to live up to his potential. AJ is certainly one of the best, if not the best all-rounder(s) in wrestling today.
Its funny you have all this young and amazing talent in TNA like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe before he had the face cock added and gained 50 pounds. Yet Mick Foley who "retired" almost a decade ago due to horrific injuries and nearly non functioning knees is your champion after beating a nearly 50 year old Sting.
WWE better step up their game cause TNA got it big! I not even thinking about Backlash. TNA just got their trailer for Sacrifice and I already want to buy it!!! Plus Lockdown was so good I had to order it twice!! And now Christopher Daniels (my fav tna wrestler) is back! and Boddy Lashely is debuting. That's just great!

Just finished watching TNA Lockdown. AWESOME PPV! TNA delivered. LOL this PPV killed WMania. Glad I didn't pay for that $60 WWE PPV. Glad I crossed the line and don't watch or even care about WWE at all anymore. No clue who Bobby Lashley is but I heard he was in WWE and has some talent. Anyway if you missed the PPV get the replay. Thank you TNA.
For a ppv that costs 60 bucks I expect 4 star match after match and an epic ending. WWE can't and wont ever deliver like that so screw WWE. Lockdown was a very good ppv. There was not a match that touched Taker/Michaels, but overall everything was better. Better build, better follow through and better moments. WWE didn't even give the fans the tag team title match that they hyped for Christ sakes. Instead they gave a ton of time to a Rock concert and a pointless diva's battle royal. BORING!

I was looking through the comments and just wanted to say that I don't tink AJ is the best wrestler, Chris Daniels for me is far better, he is currently Suicide until he comes back and is still Curry Man, this shows how diverse Daniels is, he was that good as Suicide I thought Kaz returned, AJ couldn't pull that off!

NWA didn't drop TNA, TNA dropped NWA. TNA didn't want to be known as another NWA division so they decided to drop NWA from their name.
TNA are a sell-outs? Oh man you wouldn't get anywhere in business, this is natural progression. Growing revenues, record TV ratings and in my opinion 2 of the most entertaining hours on TV each week. If TNA didn't "sell out" they wouldn't even be on TV. It's only because of big names like Angle, Booker, Sting etc that they have a TV contract with Viacom.

I'm not saying that they aren't doing well buisness wise. But this is not the TNA anyone wants to see besides TNA. WWE is taking in hundreds on millions a year, but are they producing good television, no. NA promised to be the alternative but now crossing the line doesn't bring much different. They have the oppurtunity to do innovative things, cutting edge but they rather choose to follow the same template of staleness.

TNA is better now than it was when it first started, but it's not as good as it was between the time Russo left and then eventually came back. Personally, that period without Russo was when I really started following TNA, and since Russo came back I find TNA harder and harder to watch. Although, it's still better than the crap WWE has been shoveling for quite some time.

Nah..TNA then is better than TNA now. I love TNA way back..now, I enjoy it but not nearly as much. The stuff during their one hr deal was great..as for the PPVs, I couldnt say. Ive seen a few matches and loved them all, buit its obvious Id see the best of back from the PPV days as no one will put up bleh matches

It doesn't matter about crap like ratings, or PPV buys. WWE takes in millions but no one besides kids are interested. The ultimate goal in the entertainment feild is to ENTERTAIN people. Sure Wrestlemania gives huge checks but talent want to compete at wrestlemania to COMPETE at wrestlmania. TNA has to offer different if it doesn't want to be swallowed by WWE juggernaut it defeated AWA NWA ECW even WCW. What makes you think TNA will be different as they continue to follow the flock of mediocrity

Ratings and PPV buys are the only things that matter. If you get ratings and PPV buys you're ENTERTAINING the fans. Without them you'd have no deal, no fans and all that. No one would buy a WWE event if what lead up to it didnt entertain them. It doesnt matter who's in your fanbase - it's the fact that you have a fanbase. I may like TNA alot better than WWE, and TNA may be the fastest growing, and I dont think ratings say if something is good, but they mos def do matter

That was the NWA tag and NWA heavyweight titles that the NWA wanted back and TNA gave it them back then brought in the TNA equivilent (and a new look x-division title too).

I never said they dropped the NWA title, I said they dropped the name from NWATNA to just TNA.
I think it was good that TNA finally got their own belts. It made the company itself look better when having TNA World belts rather than another organizations belts even though they didn't carry that same prestige at the time.

Ah..and I guess. WHile I prefer the design of TNA's belts (especially the X), the belts seemed somewhat more important when it was the NWA..dunno why. Hopefully they can do alot more with the belts. Tag is fine, but World is kinda..eh right now

I think there are some guys who are a little bit better than AJ as far as high-flying, one guy that comes to mind is Matt Sydal AKA Evan Bourne. However Sydal weighs about a buck 60 soaking wet and is in the WWE where he won't be allowed to live up to his potential. AJ is certainly one of the best, if not the best all-rounder(s) in wrestling today.

WWE better step up their game cause TNA got it big! I not even thinking about Backlash. TNA just got their trailer for Sacrifice and I already want to buy it!!! Plus Lockdown was so good I had to order it twice!! And now Christopher Daniels (my fav tna wrestler) is back! and Boddy Lashely is debuting. That's just great!
I my even like Lockdown better than WrestleMania 25!

Just finished watching TNA Lockdown. AWESOME PPV! TNA delivered. LOL this PPV killed WMania. Glad I didn't pay for that $60 WWE PPV. Glad I crossed the line and don't watch or even care about WWE at all anymore. No clue who Bobby Lashley is but I heard he was in WWE and has some talent. Anyway if you missed the PPV get the replay. Thank you TNA.

For a ppv that costs 60 bucks I expect 4 star match after match and an epic ending. WWE can't and wont ever deliver like that so screw WWE. Lockdown was a very good ppv. There was not a match that touched Taker/Michaels, but overall everything was better. Better build, better follow through and better moments. WWE didn't even give the fans the tag team title match that they hyped for Christ sakes. Instead they gave a ton of time to a Rock concert and a pointless diva's battle royal. BORING!
