Coool, I wish we could hear them side by side, Tubesound at 10 and Blues Jr, Master at 5 and Volume at 7. Kick an overdrive a compressor in Front and a Boost with very little delay it will be the monstruous tone machine 2 x 12 Combo ever for a Gig. You mike that thing and you can drive a Band with best creamy overdriven tone for rythm
ok ok i will... im so sorry if it offended you.. im sure you're a much much better guitarist than i am...i only get to play 3 to 4 hrs a week.. apologies again mate for my abysmal skill..
I thought this was a still photo with an audio tracked to it. Then i seen the curtains sway in the wind, how fukin creepy that was to me. Nice sound man.
I think it is a bit hard to compare the two amps. They are two different in circuit topology and the BJ has a lot more features that the champ did not have. I have a BJ and want to make a copy of an original Princeton. I love the way the TubeSound sounds and thanks for giving examples of all the different output tubes as well.

In this video, the TubeSound wins. However, the tweed Blues Jr with the Jenson speaker is miles better than both of these.

Dude if he keeps playing different things how are you supposed to compare the sound efficiently?
Dogdashdash 2 years ago 2
Yep, that sure sounds like the difference between a tweed Champ and a Blues Jr. to me. The Champ kills, and the BJr. sounds thin and boxy.

The blues junior is a KILLER amp. try it with P 90'

Are these amps produced locally? What's the price range like?

These sound good with a celestion vintage 30 and a Mod in the tone stack

i have the blues jr with the tweed covering. it sounds fatter than the regular black.
slaytanic777 3 years ago 2
tweed does that. if you think black covering is thin, try recovering it in red. instant fat tone..

The NOS tweed version has a Jensen C12-N Speaker. It does sound much better.
