  • mossy aint learning hes drunk

  • Dude, they forgot the words and fucked around, and were still better than anything that ive ever heard in the last 10 years

  • Check out my classic rock playlist has this plus couple other chisel songs.

  • even trashed outta their minds.. they were gods of rock!

  • Hey forget who wrote it, they got the best two voices in the business at the time as backup singers!!!

  • @cloudbreaker01 Rene Geyer & Vanetta Fields. Awesome voices!!

  • Classic

  • its off the last stand isnt it?

(but yeah the song was new at the time >>> wasnt even released)

  • R.I.P. Steve Prestwich. Freakishly talented drummer and song writer. Will be missed.

  • Barnesy was soooooo dam sexy back then!!! love him <3 <3 love this song as well so sweet Jimmy helping out Mossy with the words! =D

  • barnsey is such a good mate, quietly showing Mossy what's going on

  • @nunan09 this is mossys song barnsey had to read the words off a piece of paper because he was to coked up

  • actually, this is from the last stand concert in 83 when chisel broke up. mossy just forgot the words. this is when chisel first broke up after there first 10 years of being a pub band.

  • @nosdan mossy wrote the song thats why jimmy is holding the paper Ian moss is the man

  • @MrFlagon Steve and Don wrote this.

  • @1sunbear youre thinking of flame trees... only don wrote this one

  • @imlay1992 Yes I was. I realized that after I posted.

  • Wasn't this their final concert?

  • @aMberKeLLi It was a series of 'final concerts', that went around Australia. This wasn't the 'last' night - I assume the movie used performances from a few different nights.

  • @1:25 Barnsey looks straight at Don haha. Classic song, great improv from Mossy as well.

  • how can anyone dislike this song

  • it is from the last stand tour at the syd et centre.....

  • have to agree with don walker rules

example whe the war is over

  • thats a prestwich song

  • @supernovae79 Better tell Mossy, he thinks it was written by Don Walker. Great Song sung live!

  • Fantastic song fantastic band. Saw them in Mt. Isa on the east tour. Brilliant!

  • Have to remember, these songs were being performed live on this final tour before the final album containing them was released (it was recorded in between shows over a long period). Lyrics were probably still being drafted and finalised, hence Moss singing 'alternate' lines...

  • This is one of the most underated songs from Cold Chisel. It has all the rough edge of Kings Cross and even a bit of raw emotion .... AWESOME SONG .... ha ha Mossy was "winging it" a bit in the start but he landed the plane !!

  • Haha classic at the start with the wrong lyrics by Mossy! I met him once, nicest most down to earth bloke ever :)

  • lucky his got a awesome voice and makes up for it! haha

  • Go Mossy! LOL. Improvisation is awsum.

I don't know why, but when ever I'm singing this one I always end up singing his lyrics and not the original ones. LOL

  • Takes me back....was Mossy off his dial or what??? Renee Geyer as a backup singer...priceless!!! Bring back the good ole days...

  • its the best song, especially when your munted, and walking through the cross about to really hit it haaaarrddd!!!!!

  • Jimmys Soooo Hot in this video......x x x

  • Cool! I was at a shopping centre and this song just came into my head wasnt on the radio or nothing. So im walking around singing it and thinking when i get home im gonna listen it.......so here I am, wicked song havent heard for ages. Forgot it was cold chisel at 1st...one of the greatest aussie bands ever!

  • lol....Its one of they great songs that pop up in your head from nowhere! i just got to know the Chisel last year when our Aussie cuz was visiting. Started off with Flame Trees....Now we have the Album with 20 cool tracks! This songs Nice.

    Deborah.(Glasgow)x

  • Whos tha lead guitarist? Hes hot

  • Ian Moss, and yes he is hot!! BRILLIANT SONG, ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!!!

  • MOSSY:P

  • ya know this is australia all over for me. rough around the edges and having a laugh at themselves. a time when binge drinking wasnt something the government tried to stop, hawke freakin promoted it.. what a champ.

i love showing my mates from the states these video clips and they love them,

    how could u not,

  • @impaulsowhat aussie pub life at its best

  • @impaulsowhat .....Flat out, I could not agree more. I miss Rundle Street in the 90's. Wall to wall rock bands and pubs. Great time to grow up!!!!

  • barnsey came into my store when he was doing the book signing in highpoint for borders, we didnt have the part we needed though :( i got his autograph for me and my dad though :) Absolute legend

  • i met mossy last night when he played revesby workers with jon stevens and he was everything i expected him to be =)

  • this is a sweet song! love chisel

  • Ive got the keys to the city BAAABY!

  • I met Barnesy a few years ago while he was pomoting Soul Deeper, we'd been in line for about three hours and he was still really nice to us, even though he'd been singingn and signing autographs for 3+ hours, he treated us like we were the first people in line.

  • Yes, this was off the 'Last stand' video and the other back up singer was Vanetta Fields, I thought it was beautiful how Jimmy reacted to Mossy forgetting the words!

  • i 100% agree, one of the most touching things i have seen.

  • what a great old clip. Any true aussies out there notice Renee Geyer as back-up vocals? Another true australian icon!

  • 1:43 Mossy's smiling on the outside, but on the inside he's saying "If you sweat on my guitar one more time..."

  • Good on ya Mossy - You were the real brains behind Chisel!!!! You're a champ mate!!

  • I met him once and got an autograph, fuckin' legend, not snobby or anything AT ALL.

  • A bloody champ truly, but he wasn't necessarily the real brains of the band. It was Don Walker who wrote most of the songs and had kept them together all those years. Still, without Mossy, it just wasn't chisel.

  • i also got to meet him, and couldn't agree more!

  • Actually Don Walker, the pianisy/keyboard player wrote most of the songs. The others guys all wrote too, but ig you had to state ONE guy as 'the brains' behind Cold Chisel, it would be Don Walker.

  • haha i like how know one noticed the first part is all wrong ahaah still recovered well tho

  • me too bro

  • haha this song just reeks of vodka and a seedy cross feeling, love it

  • Is that Renee Geyer in the backling vocals..

  • Yes and Veneta Fields as well. There is a Chisel Version of "River Deep Mountain High" where from the last stand tour where Barnesy goes for a "walk" In the crowd and doesn't get back in time to start the song so Renee sings a verse It's Gold - Typical Chisel.

  • My favorite Chisel songs were always the ones with Moss on lead Vocals.

    My favorite Aussie musician!

  • so awesome - so cool that someone can improvise like that! god i wish theyd tour again

  • fuckin love this song,m he was soo good lookin back in the dayz, yea good song at parties

  • How funny!

  • Yay! love this song, great at parties :o)
