  • Good for your age, but pride yourself on youtube, that is very naive. And also the title of this video. When someone write "Incredible" i think of something amazing, wonderful. But that is not this video. Not bad, but nothing unusual. Bye.

  • WOW! AMAZING! here is a tip though, don't put your little finger in the ring cause u are pressing your trumpet to hard against your lips. also push third slide out when playing D or it will b really sharp

  • @Missfishy500 haha what do you know, mr.pruitt yells at you everyday for WHAT you do, get it right and then you can criticize others. haha just kidding

  • @TheDrhotdog no he yells at all the other trumpets . he yells at me to play louder and to actually bring my instrument to class. also the tips i gave this person are the first things i learned in band class. i always put the third slide out on D and i never have my little finger in the ring

  • good job

  • kid that was cool.

  • This was good, but I've played it an octave higher, keep practicing

  • Im not gana lie this was actualy preetty good!.

Tryto go form the nd of the c to the high c if u know wat i mean abt it

  • good for your age, but where you were taking breaths is too noticeable and you're not supposed to take breaths there. So a word of advice, try and sneak them in without any notice and you'll be great. (: Anyways, still a good job!

  • Duuuuuude! You sound good! Great Job! The "dislikes" have no idea how difficult it is to perform this tune especially with very little mistakes.

The alternate endings would sound fantastic if you were playing with others such as a band or in a duet because you'd be a different note in the CHORD. The 1st alternate ending(ending on your D) is the third of the CHORD. The 2nd alternate ending is the fifth note of the CHORD.

  • hold your horn up more it gives you a much better tone and breath from the diapham not your lungs ok dude good luck.

  • Gooood Job! Bettter then me . Lol .

  • pinky is suposed to go om top of ring not in the ring

  • dont breath as much yes you do need to breath at certain parts but dont breath every 2 or 4 measures

  • I think your posture needs a little bit of a fix. It seems that you're leaning back. Try to sit in a chair in about a 90 degree angle with your spine straight. Your posture will make you sound even better.

  • Hey man, sounded great, but i'd work on your phrasing. It will make your playing sound much more professional. Keep up the good work.

  • wats the notes 4 da 2nd b cornet piece? my band teacher told me 2 play dat one.

  • Nice job, but you need to tune!!! Tune is one of the most important part of playing a trumpet. If you you like marching band he'd on over to my other channel TheMaverickBrigade and watch some of our marching band vids and us doing the national anthem

  • Pick your horn up pleeeaassee... Its irritating me!!

  • 3rd valve slide?

  • r you putting a ta sound instead of a da sound?

  • Spread ur teeth apart more, and you wont sound like ur struggling ofr the high notes. Blow fast air. Good work.

  • This is great but keep your trumpet up more. the bell should be at chin level, it will give you a better sound

  • pull that tuning slide out.

  • Nice job! I like your tone. Keep up the good work, dude.

  • If you ever do Marching Band you have to have your head held high, and stand straight, trust me am a clarinet but, if my band teacher sees you with your trumpet not high up in the air really for Marching band practice, you'll get yelled at.

  • nice, but work on your posture

  • work on your posture and your tone play preety not like there is a cat stuck in your throat

  • Your Taking Too Long A Breath

  • @Panospanos20 I didn't think it was that long, but thanks for your opinion

  • what are the notes

  • I would also work on your posture.. If you stand as if you have a 2 by 4 nailed to your back everything will improve. Also, (and I have worked on this with many of my trumpet students) your neck being crooked works just like when you bend a water hose. It impairs the airflow giving a pinched tone and making everything harder.. Work on keeping your neck and back straight.. Sounded good though!

  • @dcouncill Thanks for your comment. This is from last summer and I think my posture is better now. I had a great time playing at a Minnesota Twins baseball game on July 6th. It was so fun!

  • @dcouncill nice jesus reference with the "board nailed to your back"

  • By the way this is from the summer of 2010, and I have Invisalign (removable braces) and I was wearing them, so I sound a lot better than in this video!

  • Good stuff,David! I'd go with the original ending. Also, you might want to try keeping your right thumb under the leadpipe and between the first and second valves, and get that pinky out of the hook. Try that and see how it feels.

  • @jaztrumpet Thanks for your comment. I did this last summer and I now play better and with the proper hand position!

    Thanks :)

  • @dvikingmn12 Well, you probably should have just started out the right way... :D

  • this isnt incredible?

  • WOW VERY NICE
