I love the Wu...i think there the best group of all time...In any genre.

But cap was wrong,a lot of other mc's were droppin knowledge in rhymes.Guru being one!!

True there def were some but i think he meant in the mainstream at the time. I think at the time most people wanted to go with what was hot, which was that Westcoast gangsta shit with smooth funk beats (which i love too!). Wu however went on and did their own thing and were still able to make an impact and have a huge following which is an accomplishment. As much as i love Biggie even he kinda copied that Westcoast sound at the time.
