  • Just got the same model elite and LOVE it. Totally agree, sounds and looks amazing. Unplugged isnt bad but not as good as most traditional guitars. the solid top and mid bowl really helps. !

  • @geetarism Enjoy it!. I LOVE the unplugged tone of this (was playing it today!) and is reason I bought it. Totally know what you mean though as is NOT your traditional acoustic sound. Has a more bright metallic sound. I chose this over a Takemine of similar price and what sold it for me was the bass hit you get in your chest when you play an Em chord... :) I know you know what I mean ;) Bonus is how good it is plugged in like this. Enjoy! Rock on. Phil

  • dude i want that guitar

  • @JJBATEAST hehe. She sure is purty :) I posted a vid last night this just mic'd (song 097) Will let you hear what she sounds like unplugged.

  • Sweet Elite !

  • @themeltist Thank you. Is a very nice guitar!

  • Your guitar!! Can't beat the sound of an ovation. Sweet beat btw. Rock on!! <3

  • @KrystenFlohr

Thanks Krysten! Not half on the Ovations. They have a unique tone that you either love or hate. Great for recording with. Rock on yerself! Phil :)

  • didnt soundgarden use the leslie effect on black hole sun

  • Not heard much of their stuff if honest. I think it was a bit of a 70's thing the leslie?

  • hmmmm, thanks :), i can't figure out how to do the tuning I use a software called "Ap tuner " on the computer to tune

  • Hi. This is standard tuning I think? EADGBE

  • how does it sound when not plugged in ? bright sound like martins ? or it's quite dull?

  • Hi. I have done a few unplugged ones on a mic but I would say more of a bassy sound. I wouldn't say dull, but is def more dull than bright!

  • Nice man, really nice 5/5 \,,/

  • Very cool phil and very catchy aswell!

  • hi Phil, very cool axe! nice experiment :) cool job with tremolo :)) *****

  • Thanks Max. This was my first "Proper" guitar that I spent proper money on. Had ALWAYS wanted an Ovation and have not been disappointed. :)

Thanks on tone mate!. I think it was a Univibe/Leslie type sim from the GT8. Guitar straight through that and reverb into mixer. Cool!

  • @prboyd And there is no reason you should be dissapointed, it sounds AMAZING! If only I had the money to buy something like this. I would learn how to solo, at least XD XD

  • You are something else Phil. This is so easy on the ears! Really !!!! different yet so natural sounding! Great effect! I like!!!

  • Thanks Jason. Had a really weird but calming feeling when playing!. Frank explained to me I moved from Minor to Major, with a blues lick!!

I just know it sounded cool when playing! Lol

  • Phil, hope you don't mind, I had to copy and paste this to send to my non yt friends also. excellent.

    thank you.

  • I'll have my Lawyers on you Mrs... Lol!

NOT at all. Thank you! Phil

  • It's different but certainly very very cool! I enjoyed this very much mate! 5* favored!

    :)))))

  • A bit off the norm mate following our headbang with Jason!!

Thank you and hope all good with you :)

  • All's good here! Just got back from vacation down near Miami. I saw alot of snails down there and thought of you. ;)

Hopefully I'll get the vid done today from the track I did a coupld of weeks ago.

  • yeh great sound , like it . thats how i like to write experiment with new sounds , havent done it for a while , you have inspired me to get back and see what happens, great peice of music 5*****

    love is all

    trevor sizzle

  • Thank you Trevor! Have a great jam and I hope you hit on something :) Phil

  • Very nice effect, space, and a "strange" mix between Eminor/Emajor, with some bluesy licks! Good, Phil!

    Frank

  • Thanks Frank. You have just made me realise why when I try to play Em or Dorian solo over this it sucks at the Emajor bit!!

Should be obvious bearing in mind I am holding an Emajor chord.... Doh..

    Top man!

  • awesome sound from that guitar! kinda like a dream or something :) great stuff Phil!

  • Thanks Shane. It sounds damn cool unplugged the Ovation but is a scream plugged in. Amazing wee preamp built in.

I can play Van Halen on it and it copes not too bad!! Lol

  • Thanks Tom. It does have a weird feel to the sound. Tried also with the Lester but the Acoustic gave it another real twist.

  • Like it mate and yeah will soon be on your case

  • Great news.

    Get on my case fella!

The big dog has been in his collab kennel too long :)

  • Portishead meets Little Micky Fingers meets Roy Harper....can't be bad :)

  • Thanks mate. Was sure I had answered this earlier but has not shown up :(

  • I like this, Phil. Awesome beat and excellent playing.

    The tone kind of mesmerizes..lol

  • Faved and saved, by the way. ;)

  • Thought I had replied?

Anyway. Thank you mate! I was miles away playing!

  • very cool Phil iy's got this mysterious progressive feeling i like it

it has to go faster though.. (just kidding) -)

    5*****

  • Lol :) I shall do 250 bpm version for you ham!

  • Great demo and playing, Phil !

    Stu

  • Thanks Stu. Was cool for my ears in the room aswell. :)

  • how the hell many projects you got going man? haha

this one is cool. i could never find a use for the leslie effect. nice

  • Hehe :) Cheers Satch. First time I have ever used the leslie but gives a weird swirly echo that sounded damn cool in room!

Always try and have something on the go. This will probably reappear at some later stage in a diff format!

  • fantastic as always phil. you play just amazing. you rock! 100*

    love kelly
