So Kurt said "no" to go on tour with GNR. Then, Axl went of to ask Metallica. So they went on tour together instead. That didnt go well cause Axl behaved like a dick which resulted in Metallica not liking Axl either. Partly because of how he handled the accident that happened to James in concert.

@stonerh Kurt never bothered to diss Axl in interviews before this incident. Only after, when asked directly about what had happened back stage. Also, even though Kurt didnt like GNR music, Kurt never spoke badly about any of the other members of GNS. He was probably just as aware of Axl's tendencies to get into fights, and took that into account. Thinking maybe that this is not the ideal person to go on tour with.
