what is the difference between 50 series and 40 series? I like the sound of this better, not as much resonance and probably more tolerable up the highway.

Actually i think that sounds a lot cleaner than the 40 series i've heard on other 4.0s.. you get more of that sweet I6 tone; nice choice.

If your O2 sensor is before the cat then you have OBD1 so a failing (or absent) catalytic converter won't turn on a check engine light.

I believe OBD2 started appearing in 96 if anyone was wondering.

well actual i found out i have obd2 defintly. cuz i have an 01 WJ. but the thing is i have pre cats... so ya

OBD2 started as early as like 93 with some car makers...it was US Govn't required in 96 for all vehicles
