  • Earl is the biggest crybaby to ever play this game. I would beat him at any game of pool but I have a real job so I can't be bothered.

  • @widebody123 now that's some cry for help. good luck buddy hang in there.... btw nice video, 2 legends!

  • some people/tables play fast, some people/tables play slow...what really matters is how the person adapts to the table, i seen good players shoot bad on slow&fast tables, and ok/bad players shoot good on both? so doesnt matter if a table is fast or slow...still have to apply the skill....sheesh*@&$^@*!

  • Buddy Hall to Earl Strickland to Efren Reyes

  • buddy hall is a very good pool player.... but by far the best.... Efren Reyes will always be the greatest POOL PLAYER to live and i think he has proved that by dominating 9-ball one pocket, banks, 8-ball you name it!!

  • @codysthename dominating 9 ball? he has yet to win 3 world championships and 5(or 6,dunno) US OPEN 9-ball championships like earl.

its just common sense that earl strickland is the greatest 9-ball player ever played, and plus the greatest entertainer and a very likeable quick style of play. who likes to watch people taking forever to shoot, ten stroking every ball, picking stuff on the table to gain time, carry 3 pieces of chalk everywhere. Earl is the best ever

  • Buddy Hall is the greatest 9-Ball player of all time.. Period..

  • probably old stevens cloth very slow

  • Buddy Hall is the Greatest Nine Ball/One Pocket Player I've ever seen >(Bill Staten Weenie Beanie's commment) ... Buddy Hall is my friend and i'm one og his biggest fans, he is the best nine ball champuion i ever watched play against the vest best players in the world... He ran more racks than any player i played or watch, I'm Big Dennis DC Cues I make ...

  • tables slow as a mf

  • I remember this....it was the first ever Redneck Open.

  • @patvanela1 Yes it was...didn't your mom came in last?

  • playin in the mud!!!!

  • I kno buddy hall personally...he is a very good pool player....he lives here in my town!!

  • @msamber861 he is one of the best players to play the game so far...

  • @msamber861 Yeah, Buddy is ridiculous. My best friend has an old Meucci that buddy shot with for a while. That cue has taken some of Buddy's essence with it.

  • @msamber861 To say Buddy is very good is an understatement didnt he win back to back 9 ball titles?I believe he did. Hes a Veteran Pro.

  • @msamber861 To say Buddy is very good is an understatement didnt he win back to back 9 ball titles?I believe he did. Hes a Veteran Pro. Buddy reminds me of a Boss I had on a Iron worker crew,You wouldnt believe the simularity, they even wear the same clothes, and shoes,Its unbelievable.

  • thanks for posting!!!!

  • earl had this problem i think.

he would run the whole game perfectly. then mess up the positioning or the shot in the last 2 balls.. dunno why...

  • 7:50 earl hits the ball so hard that the camera bounce up a little bit

  • is it just me or this table look veeeeeeery slow?

  • it does look that way yes.. hmm.. wonder if its because in 1988 the felt wasnt as good? im not sure.. if you know.. please share the information anyone :)

  • Im not sure, buit sometimes if the area is very amp table plays real slow.

  • totally agree. Back then the cloth must´ve been different heh.

  • @mitosinuca

i think it only looks like slow by quality of video..

  • @mitosinuca That's because this is before the advent of simonis cloth.. Back then, you actually had to have a stroke to run out.. lol..

  • Pretty bad dog on the eight in the first rack. Delicate position on the nine I guess. Stricklands stroke is like a laser beam in it's intensity and focus. I try to emulate but fail miserably.

  • i hate the term "dog'', expecting earl to make every shot is like expecting kobe to hit every 3. Get real, these guys are human and miss long shots.

  • I agree about the 8 ball miss being bad, you can get away with a lot on an American style table in terms of potting in to the corner pockets but that was so far off I couldn't believe it.

  • @grandcranium in the old tables you are right but now the tables are tighter. Look the diamond tables.

  • any idea what cues did Buddy and Pearl use at those days?

  • These old matches you keep coming up with are great! Thanks, and keep them coming!

  • what was this a race to and for how much?

  • Great videos keep them coming!

  • Thanks a lot for uploading! It's very much appreciated!
