  • Dear Tim,

I like very much all your painting lessons. I often stop to look your hands, that follow quickly your imagination and your thought. Thanks to share your art with all us. This is the first time I write to you, but from long time you are a friend for me.

  • Wow, Incredible. Love your style. I like how you went about your mountains, A LOT!. GREAT job!

  • Bravoo !

  • This is very very nice, it looks like you did the whole thing with the same brush?

  • Your clouds are the awesomest clouds ever. Lol. They're just so fluffy and gorgeous. =) And your foliage is amazing. I just love everything about your paintings. I think its the precision. I luv the clean edges and detail. I'm the same way when I paint but nowhere a great as you, for sure.

  • beautiful, very moody.

which white do you use for clouds? And do you use water for or oil when painting with acrylics?

    Thanks. :)

  • He is an awsome teacher! He explains everything so well in his dvds and he's cute too!

  • I liked the mysterious and misty look in the beginning.

I didn't like that you added that lame mountain on top of the nice cloud you made...I liked the clouds cover the hills...I mean everything is cool, but that lame big ass snowy mountain...

  • obsessive compulsive too much about the clouds? lol

  • that much time and paint just for the fucking cloud???

    wow...

  • bello...5*

  • dang, my name is gagnon, and i paint very much like this guy, ....weird

  • I really liked it before the 'snow' was added to the mountain tops.... It looked like a scene from 'The Great Smokey Mountains', clouded in the traditional haze, with fog looming over the peaks. (The surrounding landscape also looks like "The Smokey Mountains".)

  • absolutly wonderfull videos, I myslef enjoy to paint, ive been goofing with it for 10 years or so, and one thing Ive noticed is that a lot of artists are cookie cutter copies of someone else, or of another style, this guy has taken something from nature, clouds, and incorporates them into his paintings, not just plain clouds, but he makes them the focal point of the paintings, I find my eye drawn to the clouds, facinated with the depth and reality of them.......great work keep it up

  • ah nice! yeah my cat isn't the only one that sits and watches me paint!

Do you paint any stormy ocean sceans? Where the waves crash into like rocks, or lone rock?

Awesome work you do!! That is for sure!!

    5*

  • very nice mountains without a palette knife.Amazing.!

  • I love your cat, *and* painting

  • haha, i kept on wonderin wether or not the painting was gonna fall over haha. oh and love the painting. youre amazing :)

  • beatifull clouds... and cat

  • STUNNING!

  • I really like it! Thank you!!

  • This looks VERY familiar to me.

Semi professional for more than 20 yrs.

    Use oilpaint however.

To add structure and extra depth and light effect you could also apply (carefully!)white with a palletknife on the top edge of the clouds.

Just give it a try. You'll be suprised.

  • i loved it and the music too...beautiful colours - so inspiring, thank you,Geri from Pembroke

  • np rofl

  • I would have like to seen what she did with the bottom of the painting.. I was expecting to see her put some type of Foliage or something instead of just the black line.. She does the best storm clouds I have seen so far though. I love them. I also Paint and I learn alot from watching all these Acrylic paintings videos on youtube. TY for posting this, I think I am going to go start a painting right now :)

  • Watched all the video's , great work!

So... clouds. Undiluted paint and blend it to bits?

Or do you also use retarder/water?

  • It should be law against painting that well

  • You're awesome!

  • with all the clouds that he does he must go through a ton of white paint

  • great painting. hehe your cat is so cute hiding below

  • I love it. Do you sell these? How much do you sell for if yes? How long have you been painting like this for. Is it your full time job? From Michael - in Scotland.

  • Hey... you missed a spot! Seriously, excellent video. Seeing good artists such as yourself is YouTube at its finest, thank you!

    Woody

  • Well this is just all kinds of awsome, well done! I like your work!

  • haha, i like the cat in the background. it got hick-ups at 5:14 :D

great job! i especially like the shading you put into the mountains. but one suggestion though, the trees in your pictures dont have that much life. see if you can mix some colours to make a new green you can put with it to make the leaves stand out more. other than that it's amazing! keep up the good work!!!

    in Him

  • very enyoyable thankyou.

  • I visited your blog and you have some awesome paintings. I hope you keep painting and posting these really great videos. Thanks.

  • interesting.........personally I like the painting best at 1.48 while it's still vague and misty, before you put more detail in : -)

  • I just love the way you paint..love the way you are not shy to use the dark colours...

  • I just happened upon your demo through the Muralsplus board and surprise..I have three of your paintings from Ebay, so it's really a joy to watch you paint (being as I'm an artist too)..acrylics right? All my paintings from you are of the moon.

  • great vid. u are very talented however i think you would help alot of people if u made an in depth tutorial on how to paint clouds as i think there is a lack of info available to novice/intermediet painters on how to paint these amazing looking things.

  • great painting, the ross method would have saved you a lot of time on the mts. just tweak his method a little, but fantastic job.

  • Oh shit!!! not had..it had ... has .. you , are great. We'll there you go , no grammer check on the ytube.

  • Holy geez, almost 10,000 views and only 17 comments!!!!!!!

This ROCKS!!!!! It had a great painter and a cat!!!

    Come on people.

    Thanks Tim!

  • Nice! btw nice cat!!! or is it a dog? I'd say it's a cat, cause cat's a little lazier.

  • I love the clouds in your paintings, I noticed your cat creep in behind the painting what is his/her name?

  • His name is kelso, after the that 70s show character.

  • That's a funny show your cat must be a character aren't they all cats that is

  • Nice work!

  • I love art!

  • Awesome!

  • we think you shouldnt cover up the clouds with the tree. It looked great when the tree was bare too.

How long in actual time does this take you?

Are you working out of your imagination?

But it was really good to watch this come into being

  • I just paint as I go along, making things up, so sometimes I end up covering up things that I just painted a lot of detail in. It's a bad habit :). It takes about 2 to 2.5 hours to paint a painting like this one.

  • @gagnonstudio I'm impressed - this seems like an incredibly fast time to complete a painting like this! - Nice work.

  • @Topazzzzy I believe the tree served some compositional purpose as an anchor and gave it some more depth.. I may be wrong but hey :P

  • wow... this insane... I love it. how long did it take you? like, without the 5 1/2 min time lapse? XP

  • You're awesome! I'm trying to get started back at painting and you're inspiring me. Keep them coming!

  • Great video and even greater painting! Keep up the good work! :)

  • great!

  • Great!!!

  • WOW! Nice... like the snow especially. Keep painting!! MUSIC'S GREAT TOO!!!

  • i like your 100% unique style man

  • your awsome dude!!1

  • awsome!!
