Thats a good question. There are conditional stops for potty breaks and the like, usually 2 each way. Each operator runs differently. I would say round 20mph average.
I dunno, It is 3 different railroads using the former trackage now. This segment is the best of the 3 in terms of heavier rail, I believe 132lbs in some places.
Don't recall seeing any on the run up to Cottonwood - but then we didn't exactly go slow on the way from lewiston to Spalding either - saw plenty of 132 on the St Maries over Benewah Trestle. You are making me want to come back!!!

Did all the Camas railway bar this bit in 2003 with MOW - the half moon trestle, and the climb up, was something else!
