  • You can use the keyboard with Quake III Arena and Untreal Tournament to give you the PC feel. Don't forget to add the Dreamcast Mouse to play FPSes better than the controller

  • but WAIT! My dreamcast keyboard says dreamcast, has some slight desigh changes, and has a sliver sega sticker-thing on the bottom!

  • Can you it use as a normal keyboard, with some kinda of adapter?

  • would have been fucking epic if they had a key with a print of sonic on it where the windows keys are

  • can you use more than 1 keyboard in typing of the dead

  • Playing Typing of the Dead with a german Dreamcast keyboard is kinda awkward and isn't exactly much fun.

  • PC gaming was born.

  • QUAKE 3 with mouse and keyboard :)

  • At 0:19, I was like, "...the f*ck is that doing in this video?!"

  • WHERE"S THE ANY KEY

  • What pisses me off about school keyboards is that some idiots think it's cool to rip off one of those things you mentioned at the top of the keyboard so that when you go to type, the keyboard wobbles and shakes like a bitch and I'm forced to lay the keyboard flat and type awkwardly.

  • @FPDood Me too!

  • DON'T PUSH THE END BU...

  • There is still use for it.

    Hint: Schthack.

  • "I've been opening this thing for years. I've never been shocked..."

  • 4:16 ? cap locks key????

  • Anyone else notice that this was uploaded on 9/11?

  • @EpicTwistedOne aaaaand...NO ONE CARES :D

  • @bannanahammer1 true :D

  • REAL gamers play Dreamcast, not 360!

  • @Laygorian what about DC emulators?

  • October 1999 is his Model of Dreamcast very cool

  • "hmmmm, CAUTION SHOCK HAZARD DO NOT OPEN!?!?...i've been opening this for years" :P

  • Could you repeat that I didn't quite understand?

  • they should put the keyboard connected to the dreamcast

  • "It is missing a break button." What...programming assembly on Dreamcast? No one's used the break button since the 70s. :P

  • Will any old keyboard work with the Dreamcast? i.e., Typing of the Dead?

  • I just noticed something. Mark is reviewing something 90% percent of us are using right now. Awesome.

  • HAHA "Tested Past 4....for what? They don't say" #LOL haha man you're so funny reviewing so I'm gonna subscribe!

  • Quake 3 Arena. The only reasonable way to play that game. Keyboard + Mouse.

  • I love Sega!!!

  • You could also use it to talk to your friends on PHANTASY STAR ONLINE!!!!!!!!!

  • I

    Just

    Bought

    A

    Dreamcast!

  • @CAEStudios IJBAD?

  • What I like abot CGR is that the reviewer (forget his name) always balance between being serious and being sarcastic. Gotta love it.

  • @JtK27 his name is Mark, I believe

  • Even making a 5 minutes Dreamcast keyboard video... Sounds cool, and gives an extraordinary wanting to get the devices. So funny, really funny, I've been laughing out loud for 4 of the 5 minutes

  • is it true the dreamcast has every neo geo and sega and nintendo game ever becuause i herd that somewear that it has emulators for them, if anyone can help out with this and make me look like a dumbass i the process i welcome an answer

  • did anyone realize that he posted this on 9/11

  • I like ur intro

  • The shift key has an arrow... LOL

  • Why is Mark so smooth to talk to?

  • There is a private server for Phantasy Star Online :D.

  • "We'll find other signs of quality" -Classic Game Room

  • they should port typing of the dead for ps3/xbox360 since both consoles have a dreamcast collection and usb ports

  • LOL reviewing a keyboard. So much like my Logitech. Wonderful stuff. The only differences are: Mine is black which I prefer, it has a Media player key, a mail kai, a home key, a calculator key, a play/pause key, volume up and down and mute. And It's perfectly fit to hook onto my PS/2 port.

    Whatever :oP

  • i want a sega dreamcast SEGA!

  • LoL the end key is the end of time

  • loooooooool

  • I pressed end when he started talking about it.

  • Cap Locks?

  • Wow lol this is the only review i know of that can talk for more than 5 min's about 1 thing that alot of people already knew lol so how old is the dream cast because Im a fast typer (suck at spelling) and i love zombie games? also can i get it for ps2 and just plug in an ordnary qwerty keyboard?

  • you should have played the incredible hulk end theme lol Lou Ferrigno style

  • Now I want a Dreamcast even more!

  • holy crap the american spacebar is giant O_O

  • My only thought the entire video: Keyboards, for retarded brain dead dummies, otherwise known as zombies :)

  • bad end key

  • You can also use it for games like Outtrigger.

  • Mark: Why would any one review a keyboard

All Gamer Fans: CAUSE YOUR AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your keyboard serial number makes me think mine was made exactly 20 keyboards after yours (...9332 is the end of mine).

With this review I can honestly say that every part of the Dreamcast is so great that each one can have its own, full-featured review. :)

  • could you review segagaga

  • What a song when writing on a red background?

  • i have this, plus the sega mouse, i never used it but they work for quake 3 too!!

  • What about the S2 and S3 keys?

  • What's the song between 8 and 18 seconds?

  • No, fuck you and your typing game!

This keyboard was awesome for PSO.

  • God, i remember typing to all my friends for hours on my lap while playing PSO.... It was so fun.... *sniff sniff* please bring back PSO sega.

  • I love your musical choices. Especially the first one. Sounds like some sort of old Power Rangers esque music.

  • your C emblem for the controller port is always dirty. haha idk why i always notice it

  • kind of sounds like tom green haha

  • lol you plug it in the front thats what she said

  • Wow, concise reply.

  • cool review! *presses end button and disappears suddenly*

  • why did they keep the num pad and anything left of F12 other than the directional buttons? they could have mad a much more compact and elegant looking keyboard.

  • I could honestly listen to you say anything and be interested.

  • @ORTUSK Mark would be great history teacher!

  • dont pres it nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    o never mind

  • hilarious! I like how the music in the background makes it sound like an old infomercial.

  • i lke how u can talk about a keyboard for 6 mins

  • @b4ds33d2 No it doesnt

  • @b4ds33d2 See the seamen rewiev ore some older rewievs. And youl love him

  • For Dreamcast enthusiasts, check out NetBSD for the Dreamcast at: NetBSD [dot] org [slash] ports [slash] Dreamcast.

  • Can I use this thing on PC ?

  • @fungstupid, my guess is yes (since it was reported to work with the Super-H3 flavours of UNIX derivatives and similar, like NetBSD). Unless the keyboard uses radically different keymapping codes (with NetBSD having a special custom keymap for it), it should. But, you of course need to make yourself a new cable or converter (to PS/2 or perhaps USB, with proper HID; either way, you'll need to find some pin-out diagrams, or do some testing with a scope). Will it be worth the trouble, though?

  • (I ran out of characters, for my message, but where I wrote scope I of course mean oscilloscope.)

  • This was called the DreamKeyboard here in Britain...

  • What I really like about this keyboard, that it doesn't have the disgusting Windows (nor Mac OS, for that matter) keys. I see “S1,” “S2” and “S3,” care to explain the significance? (Do they have custom keymap bindings, perhaps?)

  • I can spot the diffecrence between the plugs because when you move the left one the seganet cord moves! ;D

  • here i am going to review my keyboard it only work wheni w ant s t oo

  • very intresting review.

  • "ive been opening this for years, and never been... shocked"

LoLs, nearly pissed my self :D

  • nice keyboard

  • No lies, a few years back i saw a stack of about a hundred of these thing in Poundland! (dollar store)

  • Comment removed

  • SegaNet? Why not SkyNet (rolf)

  • I bet you could review the lint in your pockets for 10 mins!

  • Your DC ..it's written - made in China.. Are there any differences in quality betwen chinese and japanese systems?

  • ummm.My keyboard looks EXACTLY the same and says Seganet and my computer has that slot and works...????

  • everyone wonders how he could review a keyboard for 5 mins, yet this is the same guy who reviewed honey nut cheerios with a dog "controller"... this guy rocks

  • Actually the main reason for the Sega DreamCast keyboard is actually because the Game Phantasy Star Online made was the first game ever Online so they made it with a keyboard because they could type online you either used the built in game keyboard slow as fuck or the keyboard :P

  • @5585deathmage remember Quake III Arena, you needed the keyboard and mouse if you wanted to frag like a... frag-whore

  • @JackBandicootsBunker true true :P but my main purpose was for Phantasy star online :P cause it is cool like that

  • @5585deathmage of course, I agree completely, because until some time ago I used to play PSO, as well with the DC and alternate servers.

  • make a break key and push it!!!!lololololololol

  • By shock hazard, it means that you would not want to literally open up the Dreamcast, not the CD lid.

  • @Ohsta6t2 yeah, he was joking when he did that. thats hist style of humour

  • @Ohsta6t2 it was a joke.....

  • It'd be cool if the keyboard had a VMU slot.

  • I have a question. Can that keyboard work on a computer if you modify the end of the wire to be a USB plug instead of a Dreamcast plug?

  • This video was posted on 9/11...

  • @MotherBound1 so?

  • LOL The end of Time

  • holy wow... XBOX USES SAME ABXY CONTROL PATTERN AND COLOR!

  • Maybe it was forshadowing the 'End' of the SEGA Dreamcast...

  • Great video...

Man you sound like a mafia member LOL

  • lol nice ending

  • @TheAnimeExpert156

did you see the plug ? do you see something like that behind your computer ?

    No and No

    final answer : NO

  • Whoa. Its as magical as a computer key board, except the computer one cant play typing of the dead. :(

  • @TheAnimeExpert156 yes but it would be slow its from '99

  • Your sarcasm hurts.

  • cgr vs avgn who has the most consoles any suggestions?

  • @rolf743

    me

  • @TheAnimeExpert156 you mte be able to use an adater for it but I'm pritty sure you can't

  • Comment removed

  • You know, my keyboard doesnt say SegaNet on it. It says Dreamcast. Different releases?

  • @TheCrazyLinkUno The Seganet keyboard was made for the Saturn originally. They then converted it to Dreamcast later, then eventually started making ones branded Dreamcast. Sega also made an adapter for plugging a normal PS/2 keyboard into a Saturn/Dreamcast

  • "and they' have given you these things." haha XD

  • I've been opening this and never get shocked! lol

  • I will never press the end button on my keyboard ever again!

  • it's the same excact keyboard as the one I'm using now, only it says Sega net, and does not connect to a dreamcast

  • wtFUCK GOOGLE ADS? bitch

  • HAHAAH great review, very funny

  • it's the back in the day xbox360

  • theres no BASIC programming on that system and you will not need a break button.

An adaptor to use a regular keyboard with the console would be nice, since the keyboars are virtually identical. But I guess they never thought of that idea!

  • what about the mouse or do u use the controller

  • You will die now G!

  • How'd you spend 5 minutes reviewing a keyboard?

  • @TheUselessGamer cause he is a pro

  • @TheUselessGamer He found a way. ( Futurama quote. )

  • @LogicShadow i'm the real shady....all u other slim shadys are just imitators.....so would da real slim shady please stand up.....please stand up *jerks arm and head* please stand up.

  • I want that game so much! It made me laugh a ton when I saw your review for it, I need to save up for my keyboard! But all the Sega dreamcast accessories seem to look weird with my dreamcast because i have the limited edition black version so its white and black like a zebra haha.

  • greatt review ;D whats the song att the endd.? i love it.!

  • What?

  • @mintkendishin

It's a review on an accessory and also letting people know about "the typing of the dead" video game and how to play it. Its got some useful info if you cared and shows how much of a gamer you truly are. If you don't care for vintage stuff like this then go watch videos on what ever you like don't get so frustrated over someone using a keyboard with your keyboard.

  • where is the mouse :) ? an what is the that internet browser ? can you make review for that, ant why the keyboard have "print screen" button ?

  • you can no longer go to the net i think..

  • yes you can

  • for real? that's awesome I didn't know..

  • @Sisound

you can its just not so simple anymore. You need dial up, and the internet browser disc or a game like chuchu rocket that let you go on the internet. There really isn't a point anymore.

  • @Sisound The webbrowser still works for the Dreamcast actually.

  • GOD DAMN IT, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!

  • The music. What's the music, at the end?

  • I'm concerned, but i'm also curious.

  • I don't know how someone can review a keyboard for 5 mins, but he did... You deserve some props man, good job.

  • @Goveynetcom He can review boxes.

  • You do have a break key... it's with pause... scary eh?

  • my computer doesn't have an end KEY D:

  • lol, when you were observing the "END" button i had to press it on my own keyboard out of curiocity

  • looks just like a grey version of my dell keyboard

  • ok is that here or to go?

  • I love ur reveiws!!!!

  • it's your

  • test passed 4 means that testperson 4 tested it, ergo if it has a mailfunction that he shoud have seen when testing it, they know who to fire

  • I got a seganet keyboard and the mouse in their boxes for 25$.

  • I got 4 of the European Keyboard completely sealed for 1 € each

  • Nice, good find there.

  • It does have a break button although it has to share the space with pause unlike edit station 1 R.I.P.

  • I got a dreamcast keyboard to except mine says dreamcast instaid of seganet.

  • Then you're not as kewl as me and Mark. ;P

  • I just wanted one and it was right there in front of me for $10.00 I wasn't gonna get one on ebay so that a jack off could make $20.00 or more.

  • Was saving $20 worth the loss of coolness? :P

In all seriousness, did it come with a box when you bought it? If so, that's pretty nice.
