are you allowed to be there? doesnt seem like any help could get there to do much. Realizing that is a double dose of bravery in my book. Precarious walk #1, but realizing there's no help to had if something goes wrong #2!
translation... (think this correct) you gave a great leap to freedom remember your names to eternity in the rocks and sky are your souls are a myth you are a legend for us and you are three major in history they will never forget and which someday we will return to find.... ( if incorrect do aplogise )
Can you still walk the full length of the walkway? I've seen video posted, 11-08 that shows access at the train bridge is no longer possible. Did the local government do that because of the deaths? How hard is it to access it at that point? I'd love to hike it!!! How many times have you walked it?
Do you know the circumstance's of the deaths?
I've read that the path is going to be restored for tourists.
it sounds as if there would be pretty much wind. can you approve this? because the sounds of wind are pretty loud.
i have seen others who did this trip without being secured by ropes. this would seem pretty dangerous to me when it is there as windy as it sounds in your video
Yes it was quite windy, and whats more scary was the fact that the gusts of wind seemed to come out of nowhere. The gorge acts as a kind of massive wind tunnel. The white pipe on the bridge carries water (or at least it 'did') the water sprays out of this with a fine mist when the wind catches it. VERY refreshing when its 35+ degrees! :)
I have no idea why it collapsed, natural attrition i suppose. Can't say that ive seen any videos of people walking across it. If you have seen a film of people walking across it - it must have been filmed before the year 2000. I'd like to see it.
@1000FeatheredOwl I think you may be confusing it with the one he had just walked off. All the other videos on youtube show the second broken pathway.
Yes you are allowed to be there. The only thing you are forbidden from doing is walking the train tracks.

What drives a person to take such a chance. Has anyone ever fallen???

at 6:33 how did that support collapse? I have seen videos of people crossing that exact same piece, did someone break it?
