  • LeBron wouldn't have reached the rim, so he had to lay that in.

  • thanks for the upload but...

    no chance.

  • Jordan's looked better cuz when they asked him about the move later he said he was initially going up to dunk the ball, but changed his mind at the last second cuz he saw the second defender n switched hands in anticipation of the 2nd defender coming, even if LeBron did the same move as Jordan identically, MJ is still Original wit it, thinking on the fly with creativity etc., LeBron just did something he saw someone else do, u lose G.O.A.T points in a comparison by copying someone else, PERIOD.

  • Its funny when i watch mj doing the switch hand layup i got how the fuck he do tht. then when i watch lebron its like oh ok good play. lol

  • Sorry, meant slantone.

  • Amen slant one

  • @slantone no better way to put it

  • even after all these years- nobody - looks as good, or comes close to looking as good in slow motion as MJ. the way he moved his body, the fluidity, the smoothness, the balance, the way he pumped his legs and holds his body just looks posed, like a dancer. the man was made for slo motion- or rather slow motion was made for the man.

lebrons a beast- but he s no where as graceful or aesthetically pleasing to watch as mj. Mj looked damn good- man played a beautiful brand of basketball man.

  • lebron's was way better, he actually had to do it.

  • jordan's move is better than lebron's, but also this one is a very good move, no need to hate instantly...

  • ugly

  • Jordan jumped off of two feet, which allowed him to "jump sideways," as they've said about him. Lebron has always gotten great elevation, but he jumps off of 1 foot 9 times out of 10.

  • Not as graceful.

  • jordan was leaning forward, lebron was moving upright = clearly not the same.

  • many nba players can do that

  • mj's had way more swag

  • LEBRON WILL NEVER!!!! BE JORDAN!!! NO ONE WILL!!!!!

  • @DyingElement Yeah, they start it by saying that. James wasn't trying to imitate Jordan, then people said, "HEY! That's Jordan's move!" I hate LeBron with a passion, but he clearly wasn't trying to imitate.

  • Why the fuck can't LeBron use something like that? Did Jordan ask for a patent? LeBron was just trying to avoid a block... and you stupid ass fans just HAD to compare him with Jordan... smh.

  • @DyingElement what the fuck? calm your vagina no one's accusing anyone of anything, the switching of hands was necessary at that moment, wtf is with all you butthurt lebron fans? someone says something and a whole bunch of you dumbasses start crying over it, seriously its just gay

  • @superman1113215 go read the previous comments you fucking faggot son of a bitch, are your parents siblings cuz you're a fucking retard out of nowhere attacking me like a fucking jungle monkey, do you have sand in your fucking vagina you bitch? people are hating on lebron and i'm allowed to have my voice heard so stfu fucking pussy

  • @DyingElement thanks for proving my point, have a nice period

  • @superman1113215 go fuck yourself

  • did you see brandon roys one on chris bosh??

  • nothing like MJ!

  • you can tell jordan was smooth, lebron tried too hard

  • incomparable

  • oouugh lebron is ugly

  • Michael's looked ten times better, but Lebron had an actual reason to switch hands.

  • @Petawawa8 so did Jordan, he wasn't going to make it to the rim so he had to lay it up

  • @kashchei2003 That's possible, but i don't think so. I think Jordan could have dunked it, and even if he couldn't, it would have been easier to lay up with the right.

  • the only different is that, Michael Jordan can scores in qtr4

  • u guys know what the difference is? jordan jumps with both feet! which is much harder!!!! to jump where he jumped from! labron's was nice too, but jordans was probably more harder! and im not saying that because jordans my fav all time, just think about it, and for all u guys who keep saying labron sucks, jordans better! the whole world knows micheal jordan is better!!! lol so stop sweating it! give labron a break! poor guy hes still a kid! he knows mj is better then him!! hes said it too!

  • Lebron sucks James is better

  • @TheTrunksdbz James is better than LeBron..really?

  • @JayLeBronMVP6 lol u get it haha!! kobe is way better than lebron

  • @TheTrunksdbz yeeaa I get it but don't agree!!! ;)

  • @TheTrunksdbz And btw...why you talkin about KObe in a MJ-LeBron video?:P

  • LeBron is so stiff, Jordan moves with Grace.

  • lEBRONS MOVE WAS BETTER

  • that was really close!!! -.-

  • not even close

  • they were nothing alike

  • not even close.

  • lebrons was better cuz he actually needed to switch hands.

  • MJ jumped a lot higher ~

  • Lebron travelled

  • Lol theres a huge difference. Lebron barely passed it to his left. Jordan reaches full length to his right. then left then lays up .

  • michael's wasn't necessary but looked good. lebron was necessary but didn't look as good as michael's

  • lmfao I love LBJ but Love Jordan even more but anyone with even half a peanut for a eye could tell Lebrons is no where near as sick as Jordans

  • lebron is nice lol

  • MJ's was sexier lol

  • It's not a Jordan move people it's a basketball move I do it so am I doing the Jordan also no. If we based it off tht it is jordans move then whoever crosses someone over it's a Allen iverson right or a 360 dunk is a Jordan a windmill slam-dunk Is a Vince carter come on it's basketball Jordan had the right idea doing tht cz u have to mix ur shot up or u get blocked

  • @Baller15Iver3son its a jordan move because noone can do it as graceful as michael jordan. The hang time, the elevation, the finish.. bro its just perfect.

  • @Baller15Iver3son sorry ur comment was retarded. like im not trying to troll or whatever but that was retarded.

  • @Baller15Iver3son Jordan did it first, it didn't exist before Jordan did it. If you say it's a basketball move then Jordan invented basketball lol

  • i HATE clevelands commentators

  • the difference was one did it in the finals, one just chokes

  • the difference is the angle of the body,,

jordan spread his arms wide while lebren just spread his arm close to one another

    thumbs up if its true

  • @Xkyow66 srry typographical error

    its lebron

  • @Xkyow66 no the difference is wat the top comment said and jordan was gliding 8ft in the air

  • @AyyTran

    Get over it.

  • so many lebron haters.. him and kobe are probably the only ones who can imitate that jordan move.. give respect where its due. this video should NOT have that many dislikes. haters

  • I Can Do It Better - Kobe Bryant

  • Jordan's shot was so much better.

  • Wow MJ so much better. LeBron who are you?

  • great move by lebron, but nowhere near as much hang time as MJ did it.

then again who really is comparing?

  • 1 : Lebron did NOT travel .. !

2 : MJ made a great lay up with more hangtime than Lebron but James made an And1 ..

    3 : MJ = MJ LBJ = LBJ

  • what the hell is wrong with all those haters?

if kobe made that move, everybody would ride his dick......

  • this is a great layup by lebron, i remember seeing it live. but it's nothing like jordan's layup. brandon roy had a layup crazy similar to mj's once

  • memphis sucks

  • Lebron intimidated the move? Not who did it better smh... People these days

  • Its very diferent. please, Michael is better.

  • naaa. thats have no comparation...

  • in order for lebron to properly imitate that move he needs to do it in the finals.

  • Jordan's had more hangtime.

  • The difference is that Lebron needed to switch hands and Jordan did it for show...Not saying Jordan was being arrogant just stating a fact he actually said it in one of his interviews...

  • @tgolove11 yeah if you look close one of the lakers made a quick movement and jordan saw that and adjusted thinking he was guna block it. yeah pretty overrated play in my opinion. MJ has made millions of more crazy layups

  • @tgolove11

MJ thought he was going to get blocked that's why he switched hands, and what interview did you watch, he states that he needed to switch

  • Gayyy

  • Michael did it in the finals he was so good he could do anything while lebron in the finals hmmm...

  • dont even looks like the jordan layout

  • Lebron travel

  • michael Jordan is to Lebron as michael jackson is to chris brown ... yea he can try his moves but jordan look wayyyyyyyyy better doing it

  • @geaster1988 no diss to lebron or chris brown lol but i agree

  • @geaster1988 would've been a perfect comment if u said "michael looks wayyyy better doing it"

  • @niajef knockn points off because i didnt put a s at the end of look come on now baby lol

  • @geaster1988 lol wtf, read my comment again...but good point, u r missing an s, haha

  • @geaster1988 try bieber :3

  • @psychomajoreflex ur gay for that one

  • @geaster1988 gay

  • @BallsAndAdick bitch iam gay look at ur name and hen tell me sumthn..

  • What's all the hype about this? Derrick rose does this every game

  • the only difference is the number of steps taken.

  • @tommos1 The Hang Time of MJ is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much longer than LeBron James

  • @tommos1 the only difference is that Lebrons move was practical while MJ's wasn't. the number of steps had nothing to do with it you moron

  • what makes jordans play special was the fact that he could have dunked it

  • not as nice. but nice lol

  • @rainbowhits nope, KOBE doesnt have hangtime like jordan

    KOBE cannot do these: watch?v=BEjcVPrOIcQ

    watch?v=HzHGc7GuPwI

    watch?v=v7Z-UGvVGfc

  • I'M GOING TO TYPE IN CAPITALS SO THAT MY COMMENT SEEMS MORE IMPORTANT AND HAS A GREATER CHANCE OF BEING LIKED

  • MJ LOOKED JUST SHORT OF THE JAM SO HE SWITCHED, PLUS IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS DUE FOR A BLOCK. LEBRON'S NOT AS IMPRESSIVE ONLY BECAUSE HE DID IT FROM A SHORTER DISTANCE. LJ IS STILL GREAT, EVEN THOUGH MIKE WAS THE TRUE KING

  • I love how both the top comments contradict one another.

  • Comment removed

  • Nobody can touch MJ he killed the lay up

  • mj dived. lebron dunked

  • not even close

  • FUCK YOU LEBRON!

  • Not even close to be the same

  • wtaw <<<< change W and T

  • not even close....

  • not as good as jordans but still slick move

  • @uberathlete are you kidding me... switching hands in the air is a difficult task and now you're saying that doing it off one leg is easier. he went up for a right handed lay up off his left leg like you are supposed to and then switched to the left. ask any basketball player jumping off the wrong leg on a lay up feels awkward because you are off balance, when you jump off one leg it is much more difficult to maintain your balance, thus switching hands off one leg is NOT easier

  • lolz a switch hand off one foot is completely different (and easier) from a switch hand off two feet. Although MJ did it off one foot too.

  • I will agree with brasil9215.

    You are so right mate.

Mj was a very smooth player!!!he was dancing in the air

  • They both scored, what's the fuss about?

  • omg fuck jordan!!!!!!!!!!....lol jp his the best of all time but lbj didnt imitate him, either he switches hands or gets fouled or blocked by that guy jordan was to high in the air for anybody to challenge his dunk to layup switch to left 2 point shot lol lol lol

  • Lebron looked like he just switched hands didn't even know he tried to dunk bad comparison

  • No es tan espectacular. No lo es.

  • jordans was so much better than lebrons

  • What people don't realize is that Jordan did everything so gracefully and smooth, in real time it looks like its been slowed down, its all in his hangtime, Kobe is extremley close to Jordans style of play, but LeBron isn't as graceful

  • WHAT A FUCKIN FAG!!!!!!!!!

  • not a little bit similar --

  • lebron traveled :D no hate (LOVE LEBRON)

  • smh at all yall h8in on all the best players that ever played this game (Wade, Kobe, Lebron and Jordan). SMH

  • Jordan did that as a flashy move. LeBron did that coz he had to. no imitation happened. smh

  • @dexOn22 Are you crazy, Jordan did not do it as a flashy move, he did it to avoid the chance of his dunk being blocked by Sam Perkins. Get your facts straight son. Im SMH

  • @g35v6 Sam didn't even jump! smh

  • @g35v6 MJ for one, a great player he is, knows Sam would be too late for the block if he dunked that.

  • @g35v6 if you have ever seen MJ dunk in agame you know he could have easily dunked over him. perkins' hand is barely even notiecable... lebrons move actually was useful.

  • @g35v6 lol perkins was not about to try and block that you can see back down when he saw mj

  • @g35v6 lol lebron travelled

  • @g35v6 I dont think so

  • @g35v6 MJ even said it himself that he did it to avoid Perkins.

  • @g35v6 Are you crazy. Look at all the hands on Jordan's part. He didn't even need to switch hands. No hand was even close to him. But it was necessary for LeBron to switch hands. Jordan was being fairly flashy.

  • @dexOn22 Watch the interview they did to Jordan after that game, he said that he did it because of Sam Perkins, maybe Sam didnt try to block the shot but he still went up so Jordan, as a reaction, switched hands.

  • Jordan went up for a dunk, changed his mind in mid air, switched hands... and laid the ball in the basket! How was what LeBum did the same? Not even close! And plase, all you jokers need to stop comparing LeBum, Kobe Beef, and Wade to MJ! You are too young to have watched MJ play, and speaking out about who is the best, makes you look ignorant!

  • You guys are such Jordan dick suckers. Everything Michael did you said he did it better than every human being on earth. If you weren't so dumb you would see that Jordan didn't even have to do the lay=up, he had a clear view for a dunk, but he insisted on making a sick highlight. Lebron actually had to make the move. Also, it looks nothing like Jordan's. Jordan is the best player to the play the game, but seriously stop sucking his dick hard another player is bound to come along like him.

  • @williamomac No player will ever be like MJ ever again... league has changed, and so have the players! Jordan did what he did by going through players in the paint, dunking on 7 footers, beating hard fouls, and hand checks, etc, etc, etc... Nowadays, clear paths to the lane all day, red carpet style! NBA is watered down, and still the stars of today cannot do what MJ did... if a prime MJ was around today, with these rules? He'd average 50 pts a game! Guy was dropping 40 at age 40! Nuff said!

  • @williamomac While playing on two bad knees...!!!

  • jordan's better

  • how dare someone to compare a god -MJ- with a clown -lePron- ?

  • Lol NO

  • lebron didnt imitate it come on do ya think he really thought in his head im gonna run up the middle n do what jordan did in the finals...hell no he just went up n switched layup hands i do the same thing when i play too man ya are worser than all the media hyping up poor d rose

  • Jordan airborne looks beautiful and effortless, Lebron airborne ugly and ringless

  • jordan was better he had more hang time

  • wtf lebron always do that dumb asses

  • y do ppl compare players who neva played a game against each other

  • Jordan's was and still is better

  • For all you youngins that are just starting to learn about the game of basketball:

MJ is better than lebron, lebron will never be MJ.

but lebron wasen't trying to imitate MJ's layup, if you were smart enough you would realize that it was necesary for lebron to switch hands otherwise he would've been blocked and it wouldn't be an & one.

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R I don't agree with Lebron will never be MJ....he still has plenty of time left, he can still win multiple championships...MJ was roughly his age when he won his first and at LBJ age today, MJ had half as many mvp titles and no NBA FInals appearance if after a couple of year LBJ still has no rings then your statement will be true but only then

  • @rabejaona i totaly agree, dont get me wrong, im a lebron fan myself.

I'd like to see lbj develop more his post game though... thats all he lacks, he cant depend all the time on overpowering the defender in the perimeter..

  • @rabejaona i totaly agree, dont get me wrong, im a lebron fan myself.

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R He needs to work on his off the ball movement. That's the most underated aspect of what made MJ the most complete and decisive player in the history of the game. He was always one, two, three or four steps ahead of the defenders guarding him, and that was before he even recieved the ball. Didn't matter if it was double or triple team, his movement and decision making was so quick and decisive, that it always seemed as if the defence wasn't ready or were out of position.

  • Comment removed

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R MJ learnt this at UNC under Dean Smith and developed his fundamentals before he went into the NBA. People think its cool to go to the pros straight from high school, but many players today lack fundamentals and IQ. Fundamentals is why Tim Duncan was one of the most dominant players of the last decade, even though there were so many more players who were more atheletic and flashy. Fundamentals got him rings and MVPs.

  • @bolder2009 perfectly put, my friend.

  • @rabejaona That's not true. MJ had won two NBA championships and Finals MVP at the stage Lebron is at now. As for the MVPs, Jordan was in the top 3 of MVP voting in almost every season of his Bulls career. He should have won it a few more times, especially the 1989 and 1993 season. Also Jordan had already won 6 straight scoring titles and a defensive player of the year award by the stage Lebron is at right now. MJ is in a different league so I don't think its intelligent to compare them

  • @bolder2009 MJ won his first title when he was 28, LeBron is 26.

  • @Larsinyfammm I was refering to the number of seasons they had played. 8 seasons.

  • @bolder2009 so, LeBrons younger he has more time not his fault

  • @Larsinyfammm No gurantees. What if he gets injured. If he stays healthy he will definitely have more chances to win that illusive NBA championship. But those performances in the finals were not of the level you would expect from someone being compared to Jordan. Magic and Bird as well. They knew what time it was when it came to the NBA finals, the greats do their talking on the court. You can't call yourself a king and not back it up. Hype talks, Jordan dominated.

  • Stfu and enjoy da video fuckin haters

  • JORDAN'S IS WAY BETTER. I MEAN WAY BETTER. LeBron did it like a GAY.

  • no as pretty son

  • Jordan did that in the NBA FINALS against the L.A. Lakers. Lechoke disappeared in his only NBA Finals appearance.... and he did this shot against Haddadi of the Memphis Grizzlies during the regular season... comparing this to MJ's shot is an insult to Jordan.

  • @bostonianbond007 uhm... I hate to do this but Lebron has 2 NBA finals appearances one, in 11'' and the other in 07'' against the spurs. I'm a mavs fan and we kicked Miamis ass but their is no denying the Lebron is a phenomenal player. heck with the big 3 playing together for a year now and getting to the finals, it's hard to say that they won't have another run at it next year and this time with more team cohesiveness

  • jordan did it with more grace. It's like poetry in motion.

  • not even. jordan did that in slow motion. don't look as good when lebron did it.

  • camera angles in almost every sport were nicer back then

  • i felt like michael was more prettier
