Doing this song for the district competition here in Texas. It's not perfect yet, but I cry at the pinnacle of the song because i lost my "brother" to cancer in September 2010. I still miss him. You guys definitely deserve the 1 y'all got.
I am a hornist and have performed this piece, the vocals are absolutely amazing but I think the horn could've been much louder. It's a beautiful song.
This song was a great tribute at a funeral for our friend who we lost this year to a car accident. Still makes me sad hearing it, but it was beautiful.
this is truly a beautiful song, and a wonderful performance of it as well. My choir is doing this as well, and I sing in my favorite section for this song: Baritone.
I was a Senior tenor in this choir last year, when we did this piece. The day we got it, our teacher told us about a Class of 2008 alto who had just lost her father. It meant so much more than a prayer to me after that. It really was in remembrance of someone recent. Then I took it to heart, as I lost my own mother several years back. It hits me every time.
Our choir did this a few years ago when we lost three kids and a teacher in a car accident. it sounds great i never heard it when i wasn't in the choir.
This is absolutely amazing. Our choir is doing it now and it makes me cry everytime I hear it. This is one of my favorite songs and I'm honored to be able to sing it.
I loved performing this song with my group. We actually had the amazing opportunity to perform it at Pearl Harbor. It gave me goosebumps! Amazing job to this group!
Yeah they are a great choir, I sang with them last year, im from Van Horn guy/tenor and wow...they have true talent. Hopefully will get another opportunity to sing with Truman again.
lol on the tenor comment, I was one of the tenors in this choir, and we were a pretty beastly tenor section, but you cannot have a mixed choir of just tenors...credit for THIS goes to all of us
Oh my god! Roxie, you weren't kidding! You guys were completely FANTASTIC!! Man I wish I could have been singing with you guys there. This is why I miss choir sooooooo freaking much!
This is indeed a fine song. I am singing it with my varsity choir for competition. Fair warning, we are amazing!

Where I live each year a college has many of the high schools come and sing several songs, and this year we are singing this one.
It means soo much more to me now than it did just a couple days ago,
because my grandfather just died yesterday.

Holy crap......that's a highschool?????? That was excellent! I did this in All-State Chorus two years ago, and this blew it out of the water.
As a side note, those tenors are beasts.
