You can spend all the money in the world on digital pedals, and whathaveyou. Nothing comes real close to the genuine dopplereffect. It has to be spinning horns. Listen to Redbone, Hendrix, SRV, etc etc.
@coitussnakes You could either use the G37 (the one with the preamp in it) and an A/B switch, OR you could get the G27 (just the Leslie with no guitar amp built in) and run a Marshall head through it plus a 4x4 cab. That way you'd have a Marshall stack with the Leslie as one of the Cabinets.
@JayRocFly Leslies have rotating speakers that makes the sound kind of shiver. At 1:22 the speakers rotate at fast speed. Then he stops the speakers from rotating and at about 1:36 they have stopped. Hope you hear the difference.
@JayRocFly Listen to Cream - Badge in the middle of the song for the bridge section you will hear the sound of the guitar start to "sparkle & twirl" before the singer sings "Yes, I told you that the light goes up and down." at 1:08 of the song. Now tell me do you hear the effect I'm talking about? Can you hear the difference?
"I'll tell you another thing that that I want to tell you about" This review would be exponentionally better if this fag wasn't the person doing it. Sunglasses inside, AWESOME BRO
yeah you can, but if you're looking for a leslie for a keyboard, just get a regular leslie and use a Trek II combo pre-amp for it. I'm pretty sure the pre-amp/controls etc. in the new "guitar leslie" are designed to handle just guitar well. You could get another leslie and the nice pre-amp for probably less money, and get a lot better sound.
What I wanna know is how long does it take for the speaker to adapt to the speed? I'm pretty sure you'd wanna get it instantly instead of waiting for the speaker to adjust to the speed you set.
Also, do the speakers have to rotate for you to use it?
do you know anything about leslie speakers? thats their signature thing, to slowly speed up and stop while you're playing. ever heard of a hammond? yeah, do some research first
Most leslie reach top speed in a few seconds, its acually a really nice thing to have it speed up, adds a nice effect. Listen to a lot of recordings of organists, they'll speed up the rotation before a chorus or something, its a great effect.
Where do i purchase the cabinets he was talking about?!!

hey this thing is cool, but how would you be able to use things in conjunction with a marshall stack? would you need a a/b switch?

@JayRocFly Think of Peter Frampton playing an overdriven leslie speaker vs a marshall with a Boss RT20 connected to it. Get my drift
