  • who cares about the money, i'd still do this for minimum wage!

  • blahwastaken, I am an active duty Commissioned Officer with the USPHS. I work in a hospital setting. I make $120,000.00 annually. I don't work with athletes.

  • how much are they paid?

  • @VaNiiLaBaBii upper 5 digits to lower 6 digits on average. Some very succesful PT's can get up to around 500,000.

  • @zeppelin8677 thank you :)

  • @zeppelin8677 Okay your exxagerating the most PT's can make is $90,000 a year. I know I looked it up on a salary web site

  • @myalouis911 I don't care about your dumb little web site.I know an actual PT.He makes 120k a year. The ones who make 300-500k a year, are the ones who work for NFL,NBA,MLS and MLB teams.

  • @zeppelin8677 Well the PT who told you that obviously lied. Maybe your right about the sports teams PT's but that's just because your working for athletes and their rich! But let's be real how often is a PT going to work for an athlete. Chances are not very likely. So the most a PT can make with a lot of years of experience and with their DPT is $90,000 according to payscale.com,indeed.com and more. Anyways I go by the facts but believe what you want to believe.

  • @myalouis911 I also know a PT that makes just under 120k a year. Ive never been on payscale but if you go on indeed.com it says a PTA makes more a year than a PT...not a very reliable source i would have to say. With you saying that you can put a ceiling on an occupation's salary is just silly. In '05 I seen a sign in Biloxi's McDonalds offering jobs for $12.50 an hour plus $200 a week per diem. There are a huge amount of factors that determine a salary for an occupation as diverse as a PT.

  • @blahwastaken Yeah okay but I still think the most a PT can make NOT working for athletes is $90,000 a year. I mean after all they are not doctors.

  • @VaNiiLaBaBii the most PT's can make is $90,000 a year. I looked on a salary website to find that out. Type in Physical Therapist salary and you will see what i mean. On Payscale.com they can show you the average salary by years of experience for PT's and the $90,000 income is for PT's with a lot of years of experience usually starting salary is $50,000 - $60,000 a year.

  • 21st comment! lol

  • becoming a PTA was the worst mistake i've made. my boy works as an elevator repair guy and makes almost twice as much as i do and gets much better benefits. i bet he never had to cram for 3 tests in one day worth of neuro, kines, and special topics in A+P! I mean on here on long island RN's make more than DPT's!

  • @asenseofhate Why didn't you go after something you liked? if you really liked your job, it wouldn't matter that your son makes more money.

  • @FlutterbaiDestiny when i said "my boy" i meant my friend. and my decision to become one was a hail mary play of sorts. i was 23 or so and decided i needed to do something with my life instead of scrub public school toilets. i had no idea that working in a nursing home meant trying to squeeze out as many units as possible from residents who either don't need therapy at all or who are at deaths' door. outpatient not being much better. i'm stuck with the job b/c the salary is > than a janitors'

  • @asenseofhate Uh, okay.
