Most heroin additcts will tell you they started with pain meds. Then they get stronger and go to Oxy Contents. On the street 80 mil pil is 40 dollars. Most kids wont be able to afford that. Heroin is cheaper. you cant get high for 10 dollars with heroin. So when they can't get the oxy's they start dope. Then most will ruin the entire life or die. Very few will get off it. I had 3 back surgerys and needed te pain meds but I was always treated like an addict. Honestly I think the beginning claim that smoking, alcohol, and marijuana use has gone down is either completely false or heavily inaccurate.

I remember when I was in school I always felt self conscious about this stuff and therefore lied about it in those surveys. My friends and even family members have confirmed that they too always lied about it. Younger generations are just getting better about hiding it.
