@DJVMFVME There's no change in tempo; the change comes in the speed of the notes he's playing, not the tempo itself i.e. 1/4 notes, 1/8th notes, 1/16th notes, etc. Hence a song at 100 beats per minute will have 400 notes if only quarter notes are played in 4/4 time; it would have 800 notes with 1/8th notes and 1600 notes with 1/16th notes, 1200 notes with quarter-note triplets, etc.
