Appreciate the sentiment Smile- agree w your assessment- xcept nothing (in my personsl philosophy)-can be better than 'the original'- can be different- but b/c it's different it's something else- that being said- version more in line with lyrics but to the point on originals- lacks the hallmark staccotto keyboard notes that were the signature of this song- I argue if they were not in existence in the 'original' we would not have a discussion board around this song right now

It's much better than original song in so many ways. It's more gentle, and much more in line with the original message of the poem. Guitar is perfect, the dynamics as well. I would like to hear some other instruments such as bells, perhaps.

However, the road to the best ever "Only You" is still open. We are not there yet, but we are one big step closer.
