  • hahaha. you have to work on your inversion, bigtime. you always sit on the bar. i used to do that too so it's not the worst thing that could be happening. you have to get onto a high-bar and do some swing drills to get a feel for the inversion. then you'll just have to duplicate it in your vaults. hell, i just started doing it at a meet one day and my PR went up, over a foot haha

  • haha indeed, unfortunately between home and school I don't have access to a high-bar, would there happen to be any alternatives?

  • um....i guess you could lie on the ground, face-up, and rock back like you're going to do a kick-up and do that into a hand-stand a few times. also, when vaulting, after take-off, pop your head back a little bit. when you tuck your chin, like you do, it becomes much harder to invert. so pop it back like you're trying to look behind you
