The song is entitled "The Game", and was written and performed by an Irish band called "The Memories". They are no longer performing, but were extremely popular during the late 60's and early 70's. They had a rekindling of fame when they recorded this song in honor of Ireland's run for the World Cup. The Memories were the last of the "show band" era, and were true performers. I have had the priviledge of seeing them in person a few times and they were brilliant.
