  • England's Elvis.

  • Can someone tell me just what was behind that green door??

  • how come i can remember all the words ??

  • I like this song so much that I think there should be an International Green Door day where everyone listens to this song while painting their door green.

  • This is a great version, But the one I love is the "Frankie Vaughan" version

  • I had such a big crush on him when i was younger :D

  • bored,so lets have a dig,off we go to 'Shaky' on You Tube. Now you lot, this bloke always looked like a prat in his catalogue jumpers and those ridiculous wobbling legs,an absolute turnip if ever i saw one.Did he ever i wonder, stand in front of a mirror doing the leg wobble until he thought it was to his liking,WELL IT FAILED,IN EVERY WAY...GREEN DOOR MY ARSE! MORE LIKE INVOLUNTARY LEG TREMBLE...:-)ha ha ha ha!

  • Shakey is great!

  • whats behind the green door?

    the fucking haremhad...

i'm too bold for this jokes guys ;-.)

  • This brings back some really enjoyable memories. grew up listening to this. Definately puts a smile on my face.

  • The Cramps version is better

  • oh yes he is coming back on tour part 2 2011 get tickets

  • nice one

  • great memories thanx

  • I truly like this because he reminds of Elvis, but his voice....

  • FreeMason song... But Jesus Christ saves its not late!!

  • For those who prefer this version I respect your feelings but Jim Lowe's version is in my opinion far superior. Just can't touch the greatness of of the original.

  • @WendyKS93 plz look at this guy.He may not invented the song. But he did hack of a job.

  • Excellent real rockin song!

  • 0:54 - LOL!

  • This song is have to do with the classic porn movie of 70's with marilyn chambers?

  • This was the first record I bought as a kid! :)

  • @shufflehop That makes at least two of us so. Still have it. Bought it in Golden Discs in Dublin. That's great Shuffler.

  • Jim Lowe blows this corholio outta the watta..........easily ;)

  • first record i got my self with my pocket money

  • @synthbrennan Ha! ha! -that brought back memories -although I had to wait until I started buying my own records-- 6/8d for The Righteous Brothers " You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin"

  • Brilliant! The dude rocking and rolling in the 80s with string of timeless hits and most of them hitting number one in the charts!

  • haha the state of the way he dances

  • @edel7272 Well yes, but back when Shaky was at the top the dancing was considered a far second to the music, nowadays they have to spend millions on dance lessons for the videos, because the music stinks most the time.

  • very good version. shaky version is better than original.the Elvis UK

  • Shaky is the most handsome rocker yet!!!!!

  • @Sunnyskies...Are you mad? Rock 'n' Roll started in 81? Forget Chuck Berry? If this were Teheran I'm sure you could be stoned for such Blasphemy! Shaky was ok in his day but Chuck is still Rockin at 84 yrs of age. Let me see Shaky do it at 84. Also, Shaky was only an imitator, not an original.

  • this idiot thinks he can imitate Elvis. Ha! Never trust a Welsh person!

  • often wondered if this was about the porn film of the same name

  • Blimey, all those Pauline Quirke lookalikes in the audience!

  • Good fun :D

  • Funny how Shakin Stevens and Simon le Bon have almost same vocals .-)

  • I hate those pudding bowl hairstyles on those girls that only looked good on the girls from Human League !!

  • The Welsh Elvis!

  • we lived in a green door da year this came out! ur lovely shaky

  • han er så god

  • The Cramps version is the best.

  • What really was behind that green door??

  • @jimllfaxit an old piano and its playen hot behind the green door! u might wanna listen to it again :)

  • @jimllfaxit Bin Laden's cave.

  • I believe they are equal just different technologies in recording

  • Shaky does a wonderful job here, but I still prefer Jim Lowe's original!

  • Kiss my Shakey.

  • This version by SS really rocks. A great slop-beat, nice instrumentation, and SS's vocal adds extra dimension to this very polished production. This version IS superior to Jim Lowe's original. Nice post.

  • @gordi1975. Me too!!! Great song....there's an old piano and its playing hot behind the green door

  • the first song i ever brought with my pocket money .... think i was 7 ... good ol' shaky !

  • went to see him in helix last year rubbish show im a great fan of his old stuff but time for him to hang up his hat

  • I loved shaky in the 80,s i played this song over n over that many times the tape got thrown in the bin but just hearing this song again has bought back my child hood memories.

  • i still love shakey!!

  • Tkaes me back years. Hard to believe that Shakin' Stevens is a pensioner now!

  • Long Live Shaky. Rock 'n' Roll was invented in 1981. Forget all that Chuck Berry rubbish I say...

  • wherever you are;keep shakin

  • Excellent version of the song. Shakin' Stevens is great! I like this better than Jim Lowe's original. Thanks for sharing.
