  • Fascinating film and very well presented for a difficult subject matter. Really brings it alive. Thanks

  • Who has an ear to hear ?? 14:03 i could use some other heads to help me with this saying. If the flesh came into being cause of spirit, or spirit cause of flesh. Is he saying that evolution is real and spirit came into being because of man... or that spirit was created first, then flesh...

or am i totally off base.... Who has an ear to hear... please help me... thumb this up and explain.

  • Thanks for this!

  • What exactly is the point in reenacting a sayings gospel? Its written down, we can read...

  • Thank you for this.Peace

  • This could sounds very much what Jesus taught long ago which influences betrays a Buddhist on the Essenes.

  • This definitely not the Pauline Christianity that we know today, a man who never physically met Jesus and was a wealthy Roman citizen of Jewish ancestry from Tarsus( now Turkey)

  • @blackarawak83 But it is Pauline. The Gospel of Thomas was recognised by the Valentinians and Valentinus was a student of a student of Paul. Paul was not that rich, he was a tent-maker and worked on tents even as he preached. This is not Orthodox Christianity, which was based upon Peter. It is Peter that the church says was the first Pope and his bones allegedly lay in St. Peters Basilica.

  • im confused about the "women that make themselves male will enter heaven" part???

  • @jason2012ish I believe one has to look at the culture Jesus and his followers lived in,

it was a male dominated society. Jesus said Women had the same authority as men and should approach the Kingdom accordingly. In Gnostic Christianity, men and women were equals and this had to be so with house-churches. In the spiritual sence, there is no difference.

  • This is the true origin of Christianity. This Gospel has been untouched. Most Christians don't know that their religion was panganised by the Romans to make it more palatable for the Pagan masses to convert.

This is what early Christians studied before the corrupt and powerful got hold of it.

If you don't know this... Then I suggest you do some research, because the truth will set you free.

  • @Metalhead1979 This is untrue. The Christianity practiced by early Christians is still being practiced in many parts of the world. Early Christianity is fairly clear on this topic, zeitgeist, as much as people want it to be true, is false in nearly every respect. So, trust me when I say that what you said is untrue.

  • “Gnosis is its own reward; ignorance is its own punishment.” Sandra Effinger

Open your spititual eyes and know.

  • @EBS340

Gnosis as a Greek word, just means knowing.

The New Age Gnostics are unknowing of the TRUTH.

    (John 8:28-32 & John 14:6 & John 18:37b)

"As soon as the truth entered the World, so too, did the lies" - Tertullian (paraphrased)

  • Ha ha, your savior is a schizophrenic!

  • Jus' kiddin.

  • He looks great but this is garbage.

  • This is garbage.

  • A false heretical gospel not to be taken as Christian authority My advice listen if you wish but be careful not to believe and be mislead

  • @FeignofCordor false? it is probably the earliest writings of Jesus.

  • nice job.

  • if you can grasp these teachings you may want to watch (Beyond Me) by frank H...peace unto you.

  • the Buddha lived 500 years before Jesus. The buddhas teachings are the same as The gospel of Thomas...The Buddha and Jesus and other Masters never wrote anything down and they never tried to turn a buck on their teachings.Their truths and wisdom has always been free. The truth is always free for those with ears to hear...

  • @bringeroflite1 Just pointing out that Buddhism is an Atheistic religion...any theories? I am an atheist, but I am very interested in most kinds of scripture.

  • @MrSilentDoubleA The belief in God is optional with some Buddhist beliefs. Perhaps this fact shows how close Gnostic Christians are with Buddhists.

  • @MrSilentDoubleA Buddhist's do believe in spirits. If you do some research into some of the rituals and ceremonies of the Dali Lama and some of the different Buddhist traditions...You will find that they do believe in spirit beings.Do Atheist's believe in spirit?

  • I'm not Gnostic, but I love the Gospel of Thomas. It's a fascinating text well worth the read!

  • @JesusChristisMuslim your of the book knowledge. Gospel comes from heart. Not dead letters.

  • I really enjoyed this. I am very fond of Gospel of Thomas and have many different translations and commentaries. This video did a good job of bringing it to life. Would enjoy seeing a version of the Semitic Jesus as well.

  • I fucking love long hair and beard. is too cool

  • This is some of the stuff he said in the other gospels...it might be true...If Jeshua said it...then it is gold and true

  • The reason CHRISTmas is celebrated is because on the 21st of december Jesus (the SUN) dies (during the solstice), on the 25th day of december the solstice ends, and the SUN rises normally again. This is actually the Resurrection of "Jesus", I already know the only logical argument i will recieve from this will be "WELL IN THE BIBLE IT SAYS THIS" etc. As stated before jesus is sun worship in the flesh. ISRAEL ='s IS-(ISIS) RA-(SUNgod) EL-(Latin for SUN)

  • Jesus is the misrepresentation of the sun stolen from Egyptian, and mayan beliefs. These religions, and text that the bible is stolen from predate christ or jesus about 1600 years. Have fun believing in a middle eastern white guy, all you christian cult followers are very blind to the obvious. All the bible did was take planetary worship, and convert it into physical beings. Jesus ='s the SUN of god, you worship him on SUNday, and will rise with crown of thorns (SUNrays).

  • Wow, very powerful, very profound!

  • Im sorry but this Jesus actor looks creepy

  • @ctsfinestjon lol ! you are funny, but of cause Jesus was indeed kreepy , ( I don't really mean it though Because I Love me my Yahshua ), when yuh read Isaiah 53:3 it says "He was despised and rejected by people. He was a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering. He was despised like one from whom people turn their faces, and we didn't consider him to be worth anything" now that's how creepy Jesus was

  • @teeggarscott Yea but the guy in the video looks scary as hell. Something about his eyes

  • PART 1 @teeggarscott Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus Augustus is the one who blended paganism, the official religion of the roman empire, in to the original Christian religion.Christianity as you see it now is been distorted from the beginnig, and after through the dark periods of time. Dec 25 is not the real birthday of the Christ, it is not written anywhere in the bible, BUT it does not proof that He was not a real person(READ:The lost years of Jesus). do your own research

  • @teeggarscott PART 2 I find very fashinating, inspiring, practical and true the teaching of THE SERMON OF THE MOUNT,(please read it with an open heart and mind). Of all the sacred books I read there is no teaching greater than this. If you know any better please share it with me.

Zeitgeitst can be fashinating at first, new ideas and new revolutionary changes, but i dont see the real freedom(mind and phisical) in all of it.

    Cheers

  • very well made ,food for thought.

  • very interesting story , i like it

  • @wattsnick30, As the LORD God said 'By the time they find out what we have done, it will be too late for them to change it". "To He that understands the promise, there is no secret. It is a blessing".

  • @wattsnick30, I am the one that was promised to Moses. I am the Queen of the South that Christ said would come to judge this generation. As the LORD God said "By the time they find out what we have done, it will be too late for them to change it".

  • @wattsnick30, After Michael died the vultures descended, before I was told to contact the USA to find out why I had not heard from him. Messiah Joseph lives on the land of Joseph that is England. Michael defended me in the public domain, he was the only one that supported me and worked with me just like Prophet Daniel predicted against the Prince of Persia, he was one of my witnesses; that all that I say is true.

After he died the Prince of Greece came to visit me in England.

  • @wattsnick30, @wattsnick30, Michael is the one mentioned in book of Daniel. He died last July 2010. We were together on the bed in Florida in 2008. At the time Michael died, I was not informed. We published on our blog that the LORD God said 'The dark lords have descended'. Michael left strict instructions that I must be contacted if anything happened to him.

  • In Gratitude, in Peace with Love & Compassion~

  • The words are so inspiring, mesmerising.........

  • I love when he talks about the solitary are the ones who will enter the bridal chamber....so true!

  • CLICK ON: disccentury, GOSPEL MUSIC, NEVER SEEN

  • There will be two people on a bed, one will live and one will die. Michael died. That was one of the prophecies to do with Messiah Joseph in the NT. When the Apostles asked where the Son of Man would be found, he said there would be a dead man and the vultures would be there. Michael is also mentioned in the book of Daniel.

  • He certainly did choose the large fish to put upon his throne. Beautiful video, blessings in abundance.

  • @izkda8 As a fellow Gnostic Christian, I agree. They give us a bad name. They are self-proclaimed messiahs and cult leaders. For anyone intrested in Gnostic Christianity, stay away from Gnostic Awakinings! Anyone who forms a religious institution and collects money for it is not a true Gnostic Christian. The pupose of Gnostic Christianity is to find Yeshua and Sophia without institutions or clergy of any sort. May I suggest House-church over a meal? 1st century christianity is true!

  • Comment removed

  • Great depiction of Yeshua, spoken in a way to help the listener understand the Gnostic meanings. I know Jesus was not caucasian but other than that, perfect. One can also understand why Orthodox Christianity rejected the Gospel of Thomus. Jesus was a homeless sage who rebelled against the religious institutions of his day, it cost him his life. This same cause cost the Gnostics thier lives centuries later, that is what taking up your cross means. It's the church that will kill you.

  • Both the Gospel of Thomas and the Bible are dead words written on dead paper. Scraping meaning from the dead is questionable. Yet the Kingdom of Life exists. The Book of life exists. That light of life and book of life is alone worth seeking. The study of scripture is like going to war over a dead horse. Even if you defend and win, you can not ride that horse. Better to press on the unseen door that powers your breath and sustains your life.

  • It's as if Thomas wrote it the way he heard it, you know , like he wasn't paying total attention to what Jesus was saying.

  • l cant even look at this LIE!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gospel of thomas is a great gospel out of the nagg hammadi library.Unfortunately the neo gnostic churches are nothing like the ancient. In fact they do not even carry the full nagg hammadi library, they only select a few and consider the rest B.S....Everyone should read the nagg hammadi library, but also in opinion, stay away from neo gnostic churches, they are quite trecherous

  • @jenniferhogan96 Yes well said! I am Gnostic and LOVE the Nag Hammadi Scriptures!!!

  • @jenniferhogan96 A true Gnostic knows the church is within and services are held at home. If you are a true Gnostic and the church is within you, there is no need for appointed clergy. An institution cannot be true Gnostic in my opinion. However, there were different types of Gnostic Christians and some didn't read any of the Nag-Hammadi books. I don't see where Gnostics forced certain books on people... that sounds more like what the Roman Church did. I for one recognise 4 NH books.

  • @astrofrk well said...The temple is in the body. Gospel comes from the heart. Many do not even know what is light and what is darkness.

  • One of the main reasons the Church did not accept this as canon is because the Gospel of Thomas is only quotations and not context. The Church has never commented on whether or not Jesus spoke any of these words, the Church has merely said that because there is no context with which to interpret these words we do not know what Jesus is really trying to tell us, therefore a learned interpretation is impossible. A text out of context is a pretext.

  • the master {heavenly father} sending the servants {pre-christ prophets} and the son{christ} were beaten and killed so they could discern the source of truth against thier belief{those in the outer edges,non-believers,}. this is also a prediction for the coming of christ in human body. the story of the jews with the fruit and tree, loving one or the other, not accepting all as truth from the god which theyve known. thus breaking thier and his trust.

  • i was invited to the kingdom of heaven in a spiritual vison or dream.. i could draw it in vivid detail.

the angels hovered around me like i was not supposed to be there, and did nothing but let me enter the castle. the i went into rooms of the acient stories. and saw adam and eves love for another. i saw the great chasm. the walls from the inside. i did not see christ or god. but i felt them. i cant explain the invitation. but in my heart all is true of what i say

  • the fish story were as if god kept the small fish {chidren or not having realized or learned yet inthe realm of earth} the large fish was ready to be consumed so that is could replenish .

  • Great post, I watch it to three times a month. Are there any other scriptures made like this?

  • Thank you for this gentle movie. I love the Spirit in which it is told. Our Spirit IN us quickens what is truth and I loved this teaching of Thomas!

Thankfully the truth is finally getting to be told and the mysteries are being manifested in us and through us becoming who we really are! Thank you!

    Love, Carol

  • LOL at that "Jesus..."

  • I know this might be trivial, but how exactly does this Jesus jump to the idea that the spirit is already in you. Surely we are to receive the spirit of God to become the sons and daughters of God? John.

  • @aerycksmusic "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you."

You don't receive any such "spirit of God". Those who do not have will never have and those who do have will never lack.

  • This is my favorite scripture of all. Thanks so much for putting it together. Awesome!

  • The Words are a bit different than from the actual scroll. e.g. agitated = disturbed i guess they were trying modernize it.But, can we truly know the correct interpretation of The Great Texts since a lot of the Words are best guess or closest to it ,but, not quite it...God Bless and ,Peace be with you !

  • Wow! So few likes? So few comments? Isn't this a fascinating production? You can actually experience on a visceral level just what it would have been like to have actually sat among the apostles. This is the experience of that intimacy. This is how these things SHOULD be presented--AS SACRED TEXTS--even if you doubt their credibility, their BELIEVERS understood them as Sacred Texts.

  • Thank you for the words of yehoashua.

  • Very Inspiring Words.

  • The Real Jesus! Take that Christianity & Islam! YOU LOSE!

  • @smartwarlord Hello It is when we look at the information on both sides do we see the truth. I can see why they didnt want christians and muslims looking at it this book to find the truth. you are right this is a BIG piece of the puzzle here.
