Wow! WHAT A COACH! His gameplan against WVU was brilliant. They wanted to out-tough and be more physical than WVU. Mission accompished. They wanted to play dominating defense and take Slaton out of the game. Mission accomplished. They wanted to run a grind-it-out offense to score points, work the clock, and keep West Virginia's offense off the field. In other words, they didn't want to make it a run-and-gun affair. Mission accomplished! Amen?

man, he must be a decent coach with what his team has achieved thus far, but he sounds like any high school coach in the nation in an interview...."workin' hard, doin' some good things, throwin' the ball, catchin' the ball" CMON! I'm familiar with great coaching and I don't see it here. Don't get me wrong...i'd love for USF to win the Big East but I'm not convinced it's as calculated as it seems.

I'm really glad he decided to stay w/usf, he built this program from nothing and in just a decade of existence usf has a decent shot at a big east title. they could realistically go 10-2 this year. 1 loss to auburn and 1 loss in conf. Imagine grothe and ford running the option; dangerous combo right there. And i'll tell u, i think they will make a very good showing at auburn in week 2 and finally once and for all legitimize the big east as a power conference.
