Fantastic vid, now if you were to ask me what is the best on screen kiss i would answer "the kiss between Margaret & John from north and south" Being a hopeless romantic i have watched so many romance movies and to this very day i have yet to see an on screen kiss with such passion ,tenderness. I think your clip choices to illustrate the song were well done. You highlighted ones that were not so obvious and made them stronger when matched to the song. However, I am not sure about the transitions. Some transitions worked but some distracted from the intensity.

Its an excellent adaptation, and was in awe when Margaret finally showed some warmth to Thornton, but Gaskell hit it on the head all along for who is the dominate sex, and that was Margaret, who ended up with the money and Thorntons devotion and love.

When do you ever read a novel when the female runs after the male? Never! Very accurate to true life.

Excellent video, you've captured every glance, every brooding, longing look, every backward glance that gorgeous Richard Armitage made in the whole six hours of North and South. No-one could play this part better, he has the best pair of 'come to bed eyes' I have ever seen in any period drama, and I have seen many in my 63 years. WELL DONE you - fabulous compilation!

I just saw this. Excellent! The song goes so well, and one of my favourite songs. N & S is definitely one of my favourite series and to think I would not have discovered it, if only for the 'vidders' on YouTube. I have got my friends and family hooked on it too! Richard Armitage and Daniella Denby-Ashe are excellent actors.

It's a 2004 film called North and South (UK) version...(not be confused with the US North and South). You can rent it or buy it almost anywhere online. It is a not a series but a 4 hour movie.
