Some of the tribes, don't know about this one, had to take on anglicized names at the turn of the century. I know because the person at the cultural center in Riverside, CA was trying to trace his family. Not all were still living on the reservation, he was one of them. I had a background in geneology. The government forced them to change their native names.

Also - I saw a ring dancer in Utah seven or so years ago who spun so fast that he came out as simply a colorful blur in everyone pictures - but he only used 5 rings, not 28.

then i moved to california, 2 years later, and i saw him AGAIN.
