@scomyo3 They use salt on the roads here too, but it did originate from colorado, and i imagine since it's only 2wd it didn't see too much snow back there
@backwoods3214 The US never got a tbi on a pickup, only in the Lincoln 302's, in 85 you could order a MPFI on a 302, and in 86 it was standard, in 88 they went to efi on 351's as well (also MPFI)
@thehairyhungarian really Ya i have never seen 4x2 thats why I thought is said 4x4 usually on the 2 wheel drives they put EFI but I guess they couldnt do that on that truck
@enfieldpolice well... it's a hard comparison i mean... the bronco is great alot of torque and bottom end power and it comes off real smooth especially in a 2bbl form.
the pickup with the windsor has good torque but not like a M motor, and you need higher revs to make the power, it is very comparable, and i almost dare say the pickup could be a little faster than the bronco was after i get the carbs set right.
looks like a great truck for the money. gotta love the 351. my grandfather had an '86 F-150 that he put a Jasper 351 in, he had it slightly modified. lets just say, it would pass ANYTHING on the road, but a gas station. sweet truck.
Sweet deal. Hope it runs great and last a long time. Looks to me like a really nice birthday present and ya for the year I gotta say it looks really clean, as far as expecting to have rust goes. Maybe I'll start parking all my vehicles under trees if thats how they look when there almost 25 yrs old lol. Looks like someone may have at least tried to take descent care of it.
That's not bad for $500. That would be selling for at least $1500 where I'm at. I can't even find a piece of shit for 500 bucks right now where I'm at. everyone thinks what they have is worth a fortune when its not. and Happy Birthday! I'm looking at an 85 f250 with a 302 for 750 thats in decent shape. not sure whether its carbed or FI, I'll have to ask the guy.
