i use this for almost 3 yrs now...no prob so far...easy to use, UPDATE...u can put themes/skin as many as u want depending on the file size...im not sure if it can support 8 g sd cards...i use edge card for my ds light.....when it comes to the game it also depend on the size..commonly a 2 g sd card can hold around 20 games.most of ds roms are only 32, 64 mb..100mb + roms are rare..so no problem about the capacity..u can always buy another sd card for larger storage.make sure to buy genuine edge

don't get the r4 man. it sucks. i had it and the cheats wouldn't work. i worked for 5 hours on the r4 and i couldn't find a way to get them to work. my advice is that you should get the cyclods evoultion. it has better features. it's so much better.

huh? nah it was inserted properly. if you go and read the forums on gbatemp there were loads of problems with the memory card sticking out with the edge fllashcards.

actually a ds rom is around 50mb so it be about 30 [it would be 40 but you have to consider space that the os takes], you were thinking of a 1 gb

This video was very informative to me. I currently have the acekard 2.1. I gave it to my sister for her birthday and i was thinking about buying one for myself. I wanted something different and your video helped me out a lot. But does the microSD card stick out a lot where you can accidentaly lose it? Is it possible for it to not stick out like it does?

i checked for you by shaking it around and stuff and nope nothing happened, and yes, if your lucky enough to order one without sticking out that's the only way i know, and plus it's really not that noticeable anyways so i wouldn't worry about it sticking out.

nothing, its not permanent. it just overrides the boot up of the NDS OS with the one of the Edge card

yeah i'd recommend the edge if your on a budget or cyclo for better build. its up to you, i'd get it off dealextreme dealxtreme one of those is the right spelling haha, but their shipping is sometimes notoriously slow so just a warning. i'd also check amazon, not quite sure if theyy still sell em there though

nope the only difference is the memory size, on the edge you can use more than 2gb (the maximum of the R4)

There is no such thing as R4SDHC those are fake R4 cards. Buy Edge with 4GB or 8GB micro sd card like Jin said. Or if you can afford a CycloDS get that because it is slightly better than Edge.

hey sorry for the late reply but it uses a format called .dpg, use a freeware program called SUPER and it'll ocnvert your movie files to the native file that moonshell uses

music: just add any mp3 to a folder called "Music" just so its organized

movies: uhm i can't give you a website but if you already have some download a freeware program called "Super" and it'll convert your video to a .dpg format that moonshell uses

so far i've experienced no lag, and that castlevania game in my example was supposedly horrendous at lagging but no lag at all, and so far all the games i've played with wi-fi have worked, the most recent was madden 09. so i'm pretty sure your wi-fi games will work

my edge card won't run new games. the games i've run before work fine, but the new ones i've put on won't work. they get stuck on the "loading..." screen. i have about nine roms on it. the first 3 worked fine. the second three got stuck, but eventually worked after many tries and now work fin all the time. but the last three won't work! do you have any ideas why?

Maybe Check the roms and if they are definatly .NDS/.nds/.Nds if there not that format they are not roms.

1. yes i assume you can do wireless play with other people, i've hooked up with friends with mario kard and metroid with no problems

2. what do you mean by multiple saves? i mean if the game has the option for multiple saves than yeah.

3. well, nothing's as good as an ipod or other mp3 player but in my opinion it does an adequate enough job with audio, but i assume with proper headphones and audio bitrate it would be pretty good

nope from my experience there has been no slow down or lag, i tested it out with castlevania dawn of sorrow which is supposedly supposed to lag in some flashcarts and it passed, i've also played loads of games and have not experienced any slow down issues :] hope this helped !!

sure i'll add that into my next video, but basically you just drag everything from the moonshell zip or rar file into your memory card (i think its a folder in the zip/rar file so just drag that into your memory card) and nope you dont need to make a new folder called moonshell

i just bought a edge card yesterday,

i put the edge.dat file and a game file (.nds) on it, but when i turn on my ds, it sais 'Booting...' like yours does, but nothing more... there just comes nothing.

what am i doing wrong?

did you put the other fold that came with the .zip file in it too? don't know if it'll make a difference but you can try. and also like i've told others maybe you got a bad download, it happens, so redownload the OS too. also just to maybe help clean things in your mem-card you can put the .nds file in a folder called "Games"
