  • BRILLIANT.

    LOVE IT.

Slams the crap prequels as they should be slammed....great stuff!

  • fail video post nuff said...

  • I assume we'll see this on the next Blu-Ray release.

  • fuck shows liek this

  • where are the rest of these?

  • I just watched epi3 and I noticed that Obi-Wan never met Lars or his family, but somehow he knew where to drop baby-luke. Only emo-anakin & portman visited them in the second movie.

One could say that they visited them some time in between 2 & 3. But it was never mentioned and anakins character in 3 & 2 was such that I never felt he gave a damn about those dudes in the outskirts of mos eisley.

  • @Kekkon3n He could probably have found out where they lived without Anakin or Padme telling him.

  • Star Wars is just the first 3 movies. The rest should be called "Kung Fu Wars"

  • G4 sucks absolute shit

Go off and make more cops remakes cuz that's what your "best at"

And people stop writing essays for comments go to a forum or something

  • 777 videos?

  • 80% of the reason star wars took off is because of lightsabers.

  • "Not that he knew he had a son, of course... you were born later."

He knew he had at least one kid, though, even if he wasn't sure whether said kid would be male or female.

  • -_-""""

  • @VictorLepanto First of all it is called Jedi Knight... so its also millitary. He can kill in combat... But he does not kill an unarmed defeated man who is his father :) . It is not about greater good man :) you don't kill your father in general :)

Second... "one stike at emperor" there is no such thing...because Luke also know that emperor is stronger... The only way to kill him is to turn his father because emperor crushed him so many times and emperor doesn't fear from Vader..

  • @soulforgedronin: He makes no attempt to kill the emperor. He could easily have attacked the emperor, perhaps he would get lucky & take down the emperor. If not, then Vader could have saved him all the same. The whole idea is that killing the emperor is somehow compromising. I can't see the moral problem, & the whole scene is based on it somehow being compromising. Somehow, Luke's giving into anger is immoral. Well, anger is also part of the universe. It is right to be angry at evil things.

  • @VictorLepanto You guys are fuckin' funny.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid: I realize it is kinda silly, but it was still a major cultural phenom. & really Lucas' wiffling this thing in the end really let down alot of people. I really wish he had stopped making these movies after Strikes Back. This was just a dumb way to end the series & it dininishes everything else. A story needs to make psychological & moral sense on some level.

  • @VictorLepanto I agree. Although, I liked Return of The Jedi as well as the other two. Sadly, it will never end. Ever. His new vision, The Quest For More Money seems to be paramount. And unless we stop allowing this travesty to continue, i.e. shelling out our hard earned cash for his pathetic and obvious machinations (prequels) he will keep "discovering" unreleased footage or applying the 3d that "he always wanted it in," and ruining his own creation and our high esteem of it.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid: Jedi was fairly descent up until the final resolution. I just wish he had waited a few years to think it over a bit or left the story line to someone else, just sketching out a rough idea of where he wanted to go. Many ways to get the desired out come. He called his horrid, 1st...err...4th movie The Phantom Menace. I'd rename Jedi, The Phantom Jar-Jar Binks. This is where we get the 1st inkling of what would soon be happening.

  • @VictorLepanto If you're referring to the outlandish way the Ewoks were able to trump the Imperial Millitary, I agree. Still, I'll take a spear chucking teddy bear over Gungans any day of the week. Lucas has proven time and again that he has a fundamental misunderstanding of what makes his own creation excellent. Further efforts into Star Wars should of course be left up to others. Just look at the novels. Answer is simple, stop supporting Lucas helmed projects. No discussion necessary.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid: The Ewoks were pretty corny. I could even forgive him that. Even the all too visible zippers on the Ewok suits. What I really hated was the fight in the imperial throne room. It was just idiotic. I hate mindless unmotivated action. I have no reason to care b/c these people really have no reason to go through this supposed drama.

Actually, the finale of Matrix was somewhat like that for me, though not quite, & as I've thought about that, it might be okay.

  • @VictorLepanto The matrix ended with Neo hanging up that payphone and flying away. The rest was a DBZ episode.

What did you expect? Vader was going to give Luke a stern talking to? "Luke, I'm your father and I say you're going to join the Darkside and that's final!" Then Luke would whine and kick a can angstly. Unmotivated action? You are aware there were two other films leading to this final conflict right? No. I'm not going to allow myself to be sucked into this ridiculous argument.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid "The matrix ended with Neo hanging up that payphone and flying away."

VL probably meant the finale in Matrix 3 -- corollary to the finale in what was originally Star Wars 3 -- and Neo hanging up the pay-phone was a denouement, not a finale.

  • @hitssquad: Thanx for showing some critical sense. In this trilogy type movies, eacn movie become like an act in a three act play.

I've been coming around to accepting the end of the Matrix b/c it seems that we are to believe that the level of Zion is is actually just another layer of the Matrix. Another system of illusions. One that controls people by giving them a false sense of moral purpose. So, in the end, is Neo going over to the machines?

No such subtleties in Jedi. Yeech.

  • @VictorLepanto Don't mean to butt in, but that makes sense. But Jedi was Lucas, and Lucas is about as good a writer as Cameron is. The conclusion, in context of the story quality of the original trilogy, made sense at least to me. I never really thought it was all that deep to begin with, just old fashioned good vs. evil. And still, it was an even better ending then the hack job that was Revenge of The Sith, which was absolute dribble from start to finish.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid All good points. And it is easier now 2 look back and see shortcomings.

Although @ the time, the franchise wasn't as storied as it is now. It was new & exciting. ILM and LucasArts. He was also producing Raiders and trying to make $ from marketing toys, books, etc.

It wasn't like there were a lot of 3 movie sagas at that point. I was 6 when Star Wars came out - and 12 for Jedi. How do you keep original fans engaged & grab new fans who watch The Smurfs or My Little Pony?

  • @VictorLepanto But don't get me wrong, I'm not defending half-assed attempts at writing. I do see your point and agree on some level, but there no real subtleties in the first two...well, maybe in Empire. Empire was definitely the best in the trilogy.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid: It was the promise of Empire which made the final movie such a disappointment. Lucas showed his basica lack of moral, psychological, or philosophical depth. It is why he goes so wrong in the final...errr...1st 3 movies. Like the supposed "love" scenes b/t Anakin & Padme. It was like watching fish mate.

  • @VictorLepanto Irv Kershner RIP!

It has been chronicled that Harrison, Hamil & Carrie used to insist on extra takes to make the dialouge more organic sounding and real. George was ALWAYS a one take let's move on director.

I think he appreciated the making/crafting of a good story. But yeah - I am in agreement with you.

  • @WayneYonke: Given the writing ability that Fischer has demonstrated in recent years, maybe Lucas would have benefited from having her rewrite some of his dialogue. I think Lucas was actually trying for something quite different from what resulted. The movie Flash Gordon, which came out a few years later was probably more like what Lucas wanted. A jazzed version of the old Saturday morning serials he saw as a boy. Given the cynical contempt he's shown for coherent story telling...

  • @VictorLepanto That is a valid point. I remember that movie - with soundtrack by Queen. GL did love those serials.

Yes- Fischer. Or at least pay Frank Darabount what he wants and let him do his thing.

  • @WayneYonke: This is my basic theory re: Lucas & Star Wars: He was forced by the economics imposed on him by the studios to make a far more limited film then he invisioned. This forced him to make a relatively tighter story then he wanted. A mixture of sci-fi & mythology that was highly attractive to the Jungian imagination @ large. Then he gained reputation as an uber-genius. Like Wiley Coyote, his sense of his own genius was his undoing.

  • @VictorLepanto AGREED! So many examples of how money ruined a good organic work. I will say that is one thing that always stands out to me for Woody Allen movies (and let's just say right now he is a jerk as a human being).

But he has a team in place - this person does this and this person that - still kind of no frills/excellent storytelling. And while some are better than others - pretty consistently good film making.

Still a shame Woody Allen took the Best Picture away from Lucas.

  • @hitssquad I'm aware of what he meant. But I have a hard time admitting the sequels happened, because so much of what was good from the first film became convoluted in the last two. Had it been done better it would've worked. But it wasn't done right, so all the depth that was established in the first film was lost in a big, over-the-top, 20 min fight that was completely unnecessary. I felt that the confrontation with the Architect was done much better as it was a very cerebral battle.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid: I initially didn't like the final resolution of Matrix either, but I've been thinking about it. I am firmly convinced that we are to think that supposedly reall world where Zion exist is also a construct. Neo realized that, it is all layers of illusions. Neo is interested in getting people to realize this. That is why he stops the renegade agent. Matrix is a Buddhist allegory. Neo is the Buddha, again. Reeves also played the Buddha in another movie.

  • @soulforgedronin You guys are fuckin' funny.

  • @VictorLepanto If Luke goes to kill the emperor then he will be no more than an assasin. There would be no difference between a jedi and a sith. They would be two different fanction of the same thing. By not killing the emperor, he accecpt his fate as a jedi even it takes him his end. That shows his father what he was doing and done for all of his life. So he did what he must do. He cleaned all the wrong thing he had by a swift move :)

  • Holy Shit James Arnold Taylor voiced the outro thing

  • It is really sad. If Lucas had retired after the 2nd...err...5th movie, he'd be remembered as one of the greatest genius in film history. Now he will be remembered a lucky idiot who blundered, despite himself, into a classic. It was actually a close run thing that he didn't ruin the 1st...err...4th movie as well. I've heard about some of his ideas. If had the money & time, he'd have made a hash of it as well. Certain kinds of talent need to be disciplined by the restraint of others.

  • @VictorLepanto are you talking about episode 1? beacuse that DID suck.

  • @Mozezrox: Well, much as a pale pink is still a shade of red, a paler shade of sucks is still sucks. I guess you are referring to The Phantom Menace. My personnal view is that Lucas went off the rails in Return of the Jedi. Frankly, I thought @ the time & will always think that the final resolution of ROTJ was idiotic. Why is it somehow wrong to for Luke to kill the emperor but somehow it is okay for Vader to kill him? It makes no sense on any level. If the resolution is blown the rest is.

I must also say, classics must studied in its own time...

  • @soulforgedronin: I know we are a supposed to think this, but I can not think this. It is absurd. 1st, Luke kills dozens of people in the progress of these movies. Supposedly he did this for the "greater good." Fair enough. Why wouldn't his killing Vader serve the greater good. Isn't killing the tyrant & thus ending the cause of all those imperial troopers he fo freely kill the greatest way to serve that greater good? Literally thousands are dying @ that moment. One strike @ the Emperor ends it.

  • @VictorLepanto First of all it is called Jedi Knight... so its also millitary. He can kill in combat... But he does not kill an unarmed defeated man who is his father :) . It is not about greater good man :) you don't kill your father in general :)

  • A good explanation for why Obi-Wan wouldn't have gone into all that.

  • Obiwan did meet owen lars when he returned luke home when he crashed his T-16 Skyhopper. Owen then banished him from seeing luke.

  • but u know deep down i think he wanted u to have it

  • lololololol

  • space dating lol

  • What really happened in Episode 4 lol

  • lol back when G4 was kool and actually mostly about video games, effin science looks like it might be kool though

  • @KoolThing14 but for how long?

  • @Mataazo TOUCHEE! :D

  • Hahahaha

  • Man how many ways can Lucas screw up the back story?

  • lol accurate

  • yeah, i guess they think they're funny..

  • why does the lightsabers blade cast a shadow?

  • @cortana458 lol you idiot its just cgi relax

  • the jedi test of patience lol

  • I think the point they're trying to make is why Ben lied to Luke at first. This is how the conversation would've gone if he told Luke the truth from the beginning. I put your dad in a wheelchair and made it so he didn't even know you exist. Thanks Ben. It was for the best for me huh?

  • @recniabsal the point there making is that when all the crappy new films were made they didnt think too much about continuity with stuff in the original trilogy :)

  • whats the point?

  • what the mf was that ???

  • You guys make Star Wars boring.

  • lol, "they were just space dating"

  • That was alright.

  • waste of time...

  • Too bad it's not funny...

  • Funny version of A New Hope? Stupid Luke kept playing with the lightsaber. Thanks for sharing :].

  • haha, so true, if only it actually happened!

  • honestly wtf was this?

  • It's Attack Of The Show on G4TV (Originally Tech TV)

  • LOL

  • This is perfect because it proves how episodes 1-3 screwed up a perfectly good stoy line.

  • obi wan was talking in riddles at the time and wanted luke to kill darth vader ettc....he had a reason he said it in the way he did....

  • ...from a certain point of view

  • @ReliableSunPower It was actualy esdtablished in V that Anakin didn`t reaky wat him too have it!!!!!!!!! Also Obi Wan afd Owen net in betwen III and IV!!!!

  • hilarious

  • AOTS is funny if u want a video game show go watch reviews on the run x play ep daily..... stop complaining that O THE SHOW SUCKS and just dont watch it dumbasses

  • Oh, i remember this, It was back when G4 Didn't suck.

  • lol i hear that.

  • they dont suck G4 is not even bent for comady its for games

  • first of all; it's spelled Comedy. And second, it isn't even about games now. iot's crap like "In someones pantes" or stupid crap like have Oliva jump in pire or have her eat a hot dog. And don't get me started on their little "Stunt" at the Star Wars Un-Spectacular" during Comic Con.

  • i miss all the good shows on G4 before cheaters, cops, and random movies

  • @ColonelGeslin That's exactly what I said a few minutes ago as I was watching the old The Marios skits lol.

  • what happened to the return of the jedi one of these? :( that was my favorite one

  • I was just trying to find that today as well. That is the best one.

  • g4tv(dot)com/videos/13047/Star-Wars-VI-Return-Of-The-Jedi-Extended-Scene/

  • THANK YOU! That's the best one. I was wondering what happened to it.

  • pllzzz

    turn it off lol

  • lol nice video!

  • No shit Sherlock!

  • Que luke skiwalker feio

  • ha ha obi being a jerk...funny

  • i remember when his aired

  • Haha. We've already made this joke several times at my house.

  • hahaha, Obi-Wan just revealed that Luke's father was evil

  • Ha, ha! Nice!

  • lol

  • Maybe the prequel trilogies are all a bad dream.

  • lol! They were a bad something.

  • I hope not, the prequel trilogies and the original all had their bad spots... but they all had their good spots too. Wouldn't wanna loose any of 'em

  • Me either. I love how they went back and told Vader's story. I felt justified in being obsessed with him when I was in high school. >.>

  • but he did meet them?

  • yes no yes no yes no... okay, you gonna make up your mind or not? There's a boy in my class whos just like that.

  • "Your Uncle? I never even knew the guy." LOL.

  • In the shadow it looked fake. Look at 0:23 and you will see the shadow.

  • awesome1

  • "your father was a limbless char-broiled corpse"

  • this is funny

  • This is pretty goofy!

  • Obi wan actually doesn't need to add any new info in New Hope because he spent most of the first movie lying to Luke about his origins and his father.

  • ROFL, It's funny how you can pick apart the entire series after the prequels. Makes no sense at all.

  • what does rofl mean??

  • rolling on floor laughing

  • Very professional made...even Luke´s hairdo. Good job!

  • haha!!!

  • lol so epic

  • lol

  • LOL classic

  • lol

  • Yeah, make the OT more like the prequels. Have a lot of useless exposition that slows down the pacing to satisfy the plot hole whiners.

    Sarcasm, its fantastic!

  • awesome.look at Lukes face:D

  • i know, lucas left so many ridiculous holes in the saga

  • It's funny watching these because they make you realize how ridiculous the plot holes make the two trilogies.

  • The guy playing Obi makes me laugh. That skip in frame when he turns on the lightsaber was a nice touch too- A slight nod to the old school! lol

  • Theres a whole bunch of expanded universe crap too. Like there was 19 years between ep. 3 and ep.4

  • But those are in Hoth years :D

  • Exposing the idiocy of the Star Wars saga. Awesome.

  • Haha

  • Lol, this was actually funny.

  • naw, luke constructed a new lightsaber in between episodes 5 and 6.

  • I liked it.

    Heh. "Space-dating."

  • luke got the bkue one-his fathers-from obi-wan,but when hes training at yodas planet,witch yoda,luke builds a new,green one.

  • no, he did get the blue one from obi-wan, and he did build the green one, but not until he came back to tatooine to rescue han. he went back to obi-wan's house and built it there.

  • You do realize nerd isn't a insult...

  • you tellem man !!!!!!

  • no it was obi wan

  • Wasnt that funny to be honest?

  • omg the most funny cool so so so so funny

  • now... yes no! now... yes no! please... alright turn it off!

    so funny

  • what's wrong with you..this is very funny, it really mocks the whole flaws of the sequels
