A) Better Tone

B) Better Performance

or

C) Both

...but seeing as you've achieved none of these I think you wasted some time and money. Just my opinion.

I love this car man my boy got same one and he is packing only 310HP with only whole catback piping V8 4.0 crazy thing it beasted my Maxima like nothing he had 0-60 in 5.8 seconds i had 7.5 lol

A stock sc300 will kill any ricers on the street a 2jz-ge is no different from a 2jz-gte except the 2jzge doesnt have oil injectors thats all and maybe that the 2jz ge cant really handle much HP unless change up some stuff then it can hanlde 600+ hp

Well, that and the 2jz-ge doesnt have the sequential twin turbos that the gte has. 2jz are great motors tho but i LOVE the 1uzfe!

correction the 2JZGE and 2JZGTE is a big difference the 2JZGE dosent hav turbos and the power is alot lower the the 2jzGTE

the 2JZGTE can handle up to 800-1000 HP easy u need bigger turbos or a fat single plus the support mods

u can boost 600 hp easy bigger turbo the 2JZGTE engines r basically king of all the clearences in the building process are as accurate as ten thousands of an inch

the block and internals can handle 800 HP easy as long as you hav the supporting mods

The Engine in a SC400 is a 1UZ-FE

and the Sc300 has either a 1JZ-GE or 2JZ-GE

the 2JZ-GTE is in the supra and comes turbo... so ya of course a supra is better from the factory but trust me the sc is not something ricers wanna mess with even stock...

Don't forget that even the stock Soarer running the 1JZ has twin turbos... 1JZ-GTE and then later came with single turbo and VVTi ... a sleeper not to be messed with

the engine in the v8 was voted the top 10 engines of the world. also the v6 version the sc300 is the 2jz-gte same as the supra, both engines are truley bullet proof

That 97' SC400 made 230 HP and 247 ft-lbs at the wheels from its crank rated 260 HP and 270ft-lbs. That's just 12% drivetrain loss; pretty impressive numbers for an automatic tranny.

Most racers opt for the SC300. There isn't much of an aftermarket for the SC400, even though the 1UZ-FE has so much potential. The SC400 was pretty restrictive from the factory. Pre-vvti SC400's dyno at a pathetic 180 RWHP, but you get an intake and exhaust, plus a highstall TC and it'll dyno at up to 230 RWHP. See for yourself:

Yeh the most of the imports arent to fast 1/4 wise. But once you start to add parts it adds up and makes em quick. If this were turbo'd or supercharged with a good tune it would be a big boost. Im not a big fan of these huge tips though, hate the way mufflers are for imports...

o and I just looked it up. Everywhere for the years 92-95 got a 7.2 per 0-60 and that is for an auto. I guess they never came in stick shift. And I never said it was slow, I said it was slow for being a V8 with 250HP... Cars with that and a v8 should be able to do low to mid 14s per 1/4 mile... Not mid 15s like this car.
