I know it's probably not popular to say this, but I will. Is anyone else bored to tears when watching Brazillian Ju-jitsu? I'm not a practitioner of any art, but when I'm watching mma, I quickly lose interest when they go to the floor.
you're obviously an undeucated fan of mma then!! anyone can jump in a cag and throw wild punches and ko someone, however to take them to ground and and use strikes paired with transitions and submissions takes skill !!!!
No. I get that there's an elite level of skill involved in the take downs and ground manipulations. For me, it's just a matter of taste. I just find that element of it to be boring if it drags on for too long. I prefer watching WCL. Too each his own.
it looks boring to the untrained eye... i used to think the same when i first got into mma... i now do BJJ twice a week and have the complete opposite view on it... BJJ is in my opinion THE best partial art for taking an opponent one on one... however if there is more than one i would reccommend perhaps muay thai :)
call it americana, kimura, or even udegatame henka, ushirojime, jujigatme, ushiro-udegarame henka if you want, I'll just call it a sweet combination that shows jujutsu flow really nicely.
Best combination? Your entitled to you own opinions. Fighting also depends on the individual, how much a person trains and conditions oneself. I've seen good fighters with a perfect record lose to a fighter with a horrible one. I've seen popular combinations such as BJJ and Muay Thai lose to BJJ and Kyokushin. Fighting in MMA also depends on the rules. Some fighting styles out there even involve finger locking. Some moves are just unfair and become unused.
I am in favor of TKD (lots of ppl knock the impracticality but they have very good control of legs), Muay Thai and BJJ. Why doesn't anyone ever punch the femur bone when a BJJ guy does that hold? Don't just aim for punching the face. Weaken every aspect of his body. If you have contact with his joints, punch his joints. If you are standing, use your knee to his legs. Use elbows often if they aren't locked.
greatest guy ive seen live fighting 3 other guys from another club was liek a kyokushin, kick box and judo practitioner who beat all of them in what was like 15 seconds. Idea is that what matters most is the way u use the techniques, not where u take them from. and yea kyokushin owns ass.
its jiu jitsu move, the beginning is kimura armlock, then it flows to rear naked choke, then flows again to armbar and the last andre wants to adjust to omoplata.
counter to counter, just the way i like it

Ninja; what hold are you talking about? If you mean while in the guard, I would just be minful of what that would be doing to my posture.

because the femur is the hardest bone in the body
