Everytime I play Hammer Editor then I can only play in 30 to 120 seconds and then the screen freezes and I have to open task maneger and close it. If you don't know what I mean then watch this video of a user with e exact same problem.

Not stupid at all. What you do it select the object, then go into the textures menu and select the texture you want for that item. I believe the textures menu it on the right hand side by default.

@laggteacher could have a leak in the map. ive seen other maps where people avoided that by making a huge box around the entire level.

ok well there is a button in the top left hand corner that looks like a white cube. and in fact it is a white cube.. click on that and you will be able to draw a square like you would be able to by clicking anywhere on your desktop and dragging the mouse :) after your done dragging, just press enter and there you go, you have a box fully made.

Hey, A tip. Instead of Copy and paste you can hold down shift and drag the object. When you do that the object is on same hight as the current object so you wont need to readjust it

Source SDK Base has a lot of the basic configuration you use in Source SDK. So yes you do need it. It's free and doesn't take up a whole lot of space.

ok... i think its because you dont have the hammer editor configured for cs, or you didnt register cs source to steam. or it could be that you dont have counter-strike source.

if you only have the regualr counter strike, i dont think it will let you make the maps.
