I don't store cat food or cat treats in the cabinet, but nonetheless my siamese loves opening all the bottom cabinets in the kitchen, and often.

My cat gets into the kitchen sink and then comes trotting out with a sponge hanging comically from her mouth.

She likes sponges. I've also had a tea-towel and a tape measure?

mine turned the bathroom faucet to get a drink while we were on vacation luckily the drain wasnt in and onlt turned on to a trickle.

My Siamese opens drawers and looks for his toys all the time. It's cute, but walking around and closing drawers all the time can get annoying. We tried to teach him how to close the drawers after he was done with rummaging through them, but it failed :)!

I think the siamese breeds are like , the german shepards of the cat world. I too have a balinese, and he is very smart, opening closet doors (to chew on my sandals -.-) and bedroom doors, cabinet drawers.

i have a short haired siamese but her head isnt that pointy she cherps rather than meow the dogs come in and she hides behind the door and swats at them chasing them into thier room. i left the door to the room open by accident she caught it and chased one of them back.funny stuff.

Hell yeah! My cat Moses likes to eat anything that's left within his reach. If you walk off, and forget to bring your food with you, he will hop up and eat it.

Moses will also beg. He likes to get up on his hind legs like a dog with this pitiful look on his face that makes you want to give him some of your food. Cats are not just cute, cuddly animals, they're also fiendishly clever. :)

Aww my siamese Kitty does the same thing!! He has brought those wet pouches of food upstairs to the bathroom and proceeded to chew on them until they leak wet fluids. He has also stolen a can and brought it upstairs, too! RIP Kitty Aug. 21, 2009

i have two cats a siamese kitten and a tabby 1) now i know what my cat will look like when he gets older cuz hes the same color and everything 2) i also know my tabby the older one ist the only thiefwhen it comes to treats. if i forget to put them back in the to cabinet and leave it on the table before i leave. i come home to a shredded treat bag that kiki and coco helped them self to. im just glad they dont know how to open cabinets and scale the shelves lol

Heh- ferrets have cats beat when it comes to thievery.

Lets see.. my ferrets know how to open cabinets, drawers (they will help each other if the drawer is heavy), climb on top of their cages and push all the treats bags off and then gnaw holes into them, one will distract you while you are walking (by pretending you stepped on it) so that you set your own food/drinks down while checking on it... list goes on.

It's really hard with a siamese around to keep doors of all kinds closed. Mine used to open all the doors of the pantry and used to meow for me to open the ones that were closed, like bathroom or patio door so she could go on the balcony.
