I got this as a birthday gift and my friend refused to give me the solution. I couldn't figure out how to open this, and now after watching this video I was finally able to get it opened. My birthday was a the beginning of Jan btw, and it's about time I know how to open it.

I had a 10 move box too. Beautiful piece of work. I scared my younger cousin (11) with it that hellraiser `s lamentation configuration was based on a japanese legend^^ i dared him to open the box. On the 9th move he quit and ran out of the room scared

I got 6 sun 54 moves - it took me 1 hours 47 min to open (I on purpose did not look into the instructions).

BeneGifts. c o m has an amazing and detailed article about Yosegi Puzzle boxes and how they are made (i liked their images).

I also got one for my girlfriend (3 sun 12 moves) - she loves it.

workers make a to 1 or 2 micrometer space between the spaces

for those that dont know

1cm=1/100m

1mm=1/1000m

1micrometer=roughly 1/100 of a mm
