I've smoked so many blunts to those two songs & the whole album I couldn't count.... point I'm making is... I used to be a professional car audio installer... Audio is my absolute passion next to wrenchin on cars.. So I'll argue with any punk that old school is where its at when it comes to bass... thats It for me I aint no troll just stating what I believe

  • Fuckin Awesome track !

  • isn't it crazy how this was the mainstream rap back in 92?

this one track is more lyrical and hiphop than every song from 08 - 11 excl. underground hiphop

  • Soundbombin before it was compiled. The original.

  • Bizzy Bone !! fuck dre

  • Probaly noone gonna read or care about this,

But if i only get 1 person to read it i feel it's worth it.

I'm trying to be a Producer like a million else...

I'm maybe no diffrent yet, but it would mean the world to me to get a decent following on youtube and know that i can entertain alot of people out? there.

If you ever read this, please give me a "THUMBS UP" so other people can see this message too.

it's so simple to maybe make my dream come true. :) thank you very much!

  • you think you got pull, then pull it- best line

  • Blow Treez by Redman starts off the same way. I think every good song should start this way haha

  • rap died when eazy e died

  • rap died after marshall mathers lp....mainstream rap changed forever after that

  • Dre sucks now he was way better in the 90s

  • @SimbaWM not even alot of underground rap sounds nothing like this! most of it is wacked not worth listening to and dont bother saying i dont know what im talking about ive heard it all very few i like

  • @SaVnA02 THE UNDERGROUND IS WACK? EXCUSE ME U MUST BE TRIPPEN BALLS HOMEBOIII

  • i love that synth that comes in during Kurupts verse

  • y does snoop get credited for this??

  • so fucking classic

  • R.I.P RAP 1972 - 2006

  • Led Zeppelin lives in this song

  • Wanna know how I know Dre is dirty? Samples Led Zeppelin - When the Levee Breaks

  • The rape of Rage & RBX are really cool, but probably the best rap album of all is Kurupt's verse. Such a notion he has never laid again later. Sure he was great then too, but his verse is divine.

  • peace for those who cant relate they must have been born in the 90's which leaves them no understanding of the classic age of true hip hop when lyrics were the main part of the tracks and the group of MC's were not easy to be accepted by us fans of the music you had to come correct or you got no respect from the public

  • UGHHHH THIS SHIT GO HARD!

  • idk how people say rap died, ya maybe they dont talk about gang banging fukin bitches (in dttail) and killing people

but its still rap times changed. Ya alot of new artists are garbage but its always been like that

imo this isnt even good. They fail to show the lyricism that lupe or j.cole do, their words are so simple and vulgur. Their hardcore and thats all these nigguhs had goin for em.

  • @calijerk310

Which laid the foundation for everything else to come after. If you disregard the lyrical content, the rhyme schemes and flows were astounding for the time. Especially on the second verse.

  • @TheDancingHeretic you probably have a point but hese lyrics give me a headache so its hard for me to enjoy the rest of the song or appreciate it for that matter ill stik with the "less hardcore" new school stuff

i can at least relate to most of it

  • smh

  • 6 people were lyrically gangbanged

  • whole fuckin album tight as fuck!

  • @KayleeMarie17 This whole album and 2001 are fucking legendary! I miss when there was really good hip hop out there...

  • i will hav to agree with the general discussion, i'm a metal head, but old school i can listen to, the rap coming out these days... i think mr niggaT4 has it right.

  • Rap isint dead, its just the rappers now messed it up its just waiting for someone good to come back and half the people like justin bieber now they dont like real music

  • One of those dislikes were me,i'm sorry,it was an accident.

  • shit just doesnt go hard like this anymore

hard to beleive this is nearly 20 years old

  • the 5 dislikes were the people who got gangbanged :(

  • 5 people cant lyricaly gangbang

  • @rangel241 shutup

  • @dudeimcool43 fuck you bitch go get gangbanged up the ass

  • this song makes me feel used and defiled. I guess that's the point though

  • Does anyone know where you can find the video for this??

  • CANT F@*K WIT D-DAY

  • ah that litle bit at the beginnin is always on dnbradio i always wondered were it was from

  • the 5 'dislikes' must have been disliked by dickheads. s.m.h.

  • It must have been 30 takes to get 2:03 to 2:15 down the way Dr Dre heard it in his head.

  • @TheLAKERSareGodsTeam It's a different rapper? His name is Kurupt. :D

  • @Lumpkinsify You do understand that Dr Dre did the production on this, right? And as producer he had to have these kids do hundreds of takes of small sections of a song to get the delivery correct? You do understand that, right? And that Dr Dre had to record this many, many times and have kurupt rap it many times more until it came out right.

Or do think that perfection like this just happens by itself?

  • @TheLAKERSareGodsTeam Yes I understand that he produced it, smart ass, and that part in particular I can't possibly imagine taking more than a few takes to do. It's also a collaboration of artists, not just Dr. Dre soloing it and having some people come in and read some lines.

  • This is real rap, this lil Wayne shit is gahbage

  • beat is dope on this 1

  • i breaks em off, i breaks em off!

  • Here's a better song - When the Levee Breaks

  • @PrInCe5627 Never noticed that.

  • this should have 10 million views yo.....

  • Man we used to get in the Mustang and turn the CD ALL THE WAY UP, and bump this song in Lake Geroge, crusin the strip picking up chicks, this song was a GREAT bass song. Ahhh the good ol days....

  • somebody needs to bass boost this song

  • @nahmean1000 put this shit right here on a real system=and watch the subs==U be surprised how hard your speakers work on this joint.

  • I'm going to throw a party with the sole purpose of playing this song.

  • this song is way to dope for new age scrubs

  • guy at the beginning sounds just like that homeless radio announcer guy

  • @smitty52093 The "guy" at the beginning is a woman named Lady of Rage.

  • this shit goes hard dayum

  • Old school the best hiphop !!! dr.dre the king ( after 2pac )

  • TO ME, RAP DIED IN 2007, NIGS STARTED DOING GAY ASS PILLS, AND EVENTUALLY BEATS AND SONGS GOT VERY GAY

  • @niggaT42000

    Don't you mean 1997?

  • @niggaT42000 rap died around 2000 to me

  • @niggaT42000 Rap is still alive, fuck you talkin bout nigga?

  • @niggaT42000 more like 2005, well thats when it eneded for me! just 90's techno and 90's rap from here on out, maybe we just got old hahahaha!

  • @niggaT42000 yeah rap died in 2007

hip hop died along with tupac and biggie

    whats next?

  • @niggaT42000

You do realize there's an entire community of artists with alternative styles that disregard what makes money and what's cool, right?

  • @niggaT42000 last year people wore baggy jeans too ):

  • @niggaT42000 2007 died long before that rap and hip hop died pretty much when tupac and biggie died.. It never was the same

  • @LittleMissJmoo YEAH IN 2000 or 99'...

  • @niggaT42000 Rap died after 2005.

  • DR.DRE is a genius producer

  • "When the Levee Breaks" is my favorite drum break to be sampled in a hip-hop song ever. This song's beat is directly influenced by "Fuck School" by Convicts (who would have originally appeared in The Chronic).

  • what a funky track
